We came in on Saturday around 4:00… had a few drinks at the bar!
Sarah was our server, they were very busy but she was super friendly and very attentive even though she was extremely busy! We just loved her!!
I had broasted pork chops which were excellent.., so juicy and cooked to perfection!
My husband had a Ribeye (MR).. he said it was cooked perfectly and probably one of the best steaks he’s ever had!
We were so happy with our experience, the only downside was drinks were very expensive and terribly weak! The woman bartender had zero personality, no smile, no thank you, just seemed to be going through the motions!
We love the salad bar! Will definitely return, with Sarah as our server! She was the best, during a very busy dinner!! Thanks Sarah for making our experience memorable!🥩🍹🍺👍

Popped our heads in here quick for a beer and some cheese curds. The beer was nice and cold and the cheese curds were some of the best I’ve ever had. The environment feels very much like your regular Wisconsin supper club. Everyone was friendly, service was fast, and it was very reasonably priced. Views were amazing too. If you happen to be hungry after a day fishing on the Willow, this is the place to go.

Supper club vibe, great food & a great salad bar. The owners are usually there and are very friendly. Servers are great too. We’ve never had a bad meal here & have been coming here for over 15 years. The steaks & the Friday night fish fry options are always good. The salad bar usually has 3 soups to choose from, & fresh veggies on the salad bar.

I had heard good things about the Willow Haven. On our way home from our cottage, we decided to deviate off of our usual route and give it a try. We weren’t extremely hungry, so the salad bar was the choice for us. Wow. The greens were impressive. All of the salad bar offerings were extremely fresh. They constantly work on keeping the salad bar clean and well organized.
I tried two of the soups. I loved them both.
Service was excellent. Staff was very friendly and professional.
It’s out of the way for us, but we’ll find a way to get back to the Willow Haven. I definitely recommend.

I've been coming here for years and really appreciate the great service and food being served here. It's a family owned business that really cares for the customers. They have many specials though out the week, if you see Lasagna on the board order it! All of the burgers are fresh never frozen, my favorite is the Mushroom and Swiss. You can't go wrong with the Tender Steak Sandwich and the Saturday Prime Rib is wonderful. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

Ordered a "tender" steak sandwich medium rare. The "tender" part meant the it was tenderized by a mallet. Beat it to death. Had to send back because it came out well done. Yuk.
They remade it but did not season the steak. Only marginally better. in fact were kind of rude about it

Went here with visiting friends who were up during the week and wanted to experience a Northwoods fish fry. A lot of places limit their fish fry to Friday nights. Willow Haven allowed us to give them the fish fry experience on a night other than Friday and there were no complaints on the.offerings as they offered various fish options...walleye, perch, cod, bluegill, etc. I had their broasted pork chop for the first time and it was delicious as well! This is located on a.porrion of Willow Flowage and has a great view! We were there for the sunset too! They were pretty busy on a Wednesday night and we're able to accommodate our larger group.

We ordered the Broasted Chicken, Pizza and Steak Sandwich. Enjoyed them tremendously. The Pizza could have been better. Not very busy at 4 PM on a Tuesday and they provided really good service. There was plenty of seating. Lots of descent priced items were available on the menu too! We're going back for prime rib on Saturday! Also, deep fried cheese curds were really good. Went back on Saturday and tried the Prime Rib covered with Mushrooms, it could have been better. The Salad Bar was ok. The fries could have been better. Two other couples I spoke with ordered the 16-ounce Rib Eye Steak and liked them over Prime Rib. I might try the Ribeye steak next time in the area!

On Saturday, August 10, 2024, we came back for the Ribeye, Shrimp and Barbequed Ribs; and enjoyed very much with baked potatoes, salad bar and soup! Will increase rating for food from 4 to 5! They also had the Packers pre-season game on at 3 pm.

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, we came back in the early afternoon for deep fried cheese curds, hamburgers and a Reuben Sandwich. They were all good! I was surprised they were open on Sunday, and we were just coming from the Boulder Junction Musky Jamboree, which was awesome as well!

On Friday, August 30, 2024, we came back around 4 pm and enjoyed several items on the Fish Fry menu, including the Walleye, Perch and Blue Gill. This was the best Fish Fry we saw in the Northwoods! I already increased my rating from 4 to 5. By 4:30 pm all of the available tables were taken. We received our order within 5 minutes, even when they became busy.

Went on a Sunday around 4:45 pm. I don't believe they have a hostess for Sundays, so we just asked one of the waitresses and she said "just seat yourselves". Once we sat down another waitress came over promptly to get us our drinks. We both ordered the ribeye steak medium rare. The steak was cooked perfectly, it was like cutting through butter. This is my family's go to place for family holidays, reunions, and for when I visit the area.

The water view is calming and peaceful also.

The menu options are definitely more "upscale" in comparison to some of the other Tomahawk area bar and grills.

I might be bias towards Willow Haven though since I used to spend time as a child camping or fishing in the area.

The service is also remarkable, friendly, and at times comes with a side of humor which makes Willow Haven even more welcoming..

Bartender was great and very quick on making sure we had drinks every time. But when it came to the food that was another story. There was 7 of us on this Saturday so we wanted prime rib and seafood. All of the prime rib was cold by the time it came out and when we complained they took it back and a minute later they came back and it was still cold. All the scallops and lobster was cold too. I used to work there years ago and it was always great food and the changes they have done didn’t make sense to me. Prime rib is always to be served on a hot metal plate or at least a plate that isn’t cold as ice as that is what we experienced. We made a complaint to the bartender and he just shrugged his shoulders when we told him about the meal. We expected a lot more from here especially for the price of this meal, we will not be coming back for along time. So sad to say this after so many years of coming here to eat.

Comfortable and casual bar/supper club w a great view of the Willow Flowage. We went for dinner w friends 2x during our annual Northwoods vacation. Food was great both times with retro type salad bar. I think they need more servers as the one seemed rather rushed and not able to provide the level of service she usually does. We went on Wednesday night each time. While they were not too busy, there were a few large groups both times.

We did order the wonderful iconic ice cream after dinner drinks...while it took awhile to get them...they were fabulous and worth the wait. One thought, if it is a very busy night, maybe take those special drink menus off the table.

Will go again the next time we are up that way.

If you want fine dining, don't go here. If you want a basic old-fashioned supper club menu with steak, fish, pork, and chicken with a nice view of the lake, this is the place. Simple food, the menu might be the same as it was 30 years ago, but all perfectly prepared. The place looks run down and there were only a couple of people in the place at the very start of the season. I almost didn't look at the salad bar, but was surprised to see nice fresh greens and plenty of veggies. My broasted chicken was crisp and juicy and flavorful, the ribs tasty, and the steak was good and precisely medium rare. My side of hash browns was hot and crispy. Don't expect atmosphere other than the backwoods experience, but if you're looking for tasty simple food that's cooked right, try here.

Called to find out what the daily special was. Told them we will be done with my SERVICE DOG. They told me he is NOT welcome. They accused him of sticking his nose in everyone’s food. No one contacted us about this problem. He has not done this. I seen a dog walk into the kitchen, I find this is a problem. Do not bring your service dog here, they are NOT service dog friendly. We liked coming here, they have lost our business. Yelling at someone over the phone is not acceptable. They never liked the dog from day one. This service dog is in training. Can’t expect him to be perfect. Never apologized for being rude in the phone. This dog was also accused of attacking someone. Another from a co worker Jo told a waitress. This is what a waitress told us.

The Blue Cheese Pork Chops were some of the tastiest and juiciest I’ve ever had! A surprise for this little Bar and Grill in the middle of nowhere. We’ll be going back in the summer to savor more of their entrees and enjoy their outdoor patio. The service was good too! I only gave 4 stars because ,as with a lot of restaurants in the north-woods, there is very little atmosphere, but that’s not important to everyone.
