I've never gone skiing before and Wilmot was an great place to start. The slopes were well kept and I felt comfortable very quickly. I even had a moment where I lost my ski and wasn't sure how to get it back on while on the hill, but the staff was able to show me quickly how to get it back on so I could get right back to it! Definitely enjoyed my experience and would go back!

Used to go here every winter but ever since new owners took possession. Prices are ridiculous for tickets, food, supplies. The terrain park is way too big for beginners. No longer have the race track. If you want a place to ski or snowboard. Make the trip to cascade in WI. Much better place.

It was a giant hill with snow on it and ski lifts. The food is ridiculously over priced but that could just be the inflation. The indoor areas were nice.

It’s convenient, but overpriced for what they have to offer - even after all the upgrades, I’d rather go elsewhere. Some staff weren’t very nice, and some were great. But overall, especially for beginners, I wouldn’t recommend Wilmot.

Rating this for the customer service.
1. You can never get a hold of a person and when you do either online or on the phone they are not helpful they give you phone numbers that don’t work
2. I bought tickets for tubing, read the cancellation policy, unfortunately the day of my daughter wakes up with a fever and tests positive for flu and strep. Obviously had she shown any signs of feeling ill the night before I would have cancelled immediately but she didn’t. I emailed got told that their policy is 24hrs, explained the out of the blue situation, told them that they don’t even have to give me a refund just let me use the tickets another day as I can send doctor verification that she was ill, crickets. I have sent FIVE emails and not one person responds.

I’d expect better customer service from such a large company… I guess not.

I would give zero stars if I could! We bought snow tubing tickets for my son for Christmas and they were closed because it was too warm. I called and called and was never able to get ahold of anybody. I called again the following week and still wasn’t able to talk to anybody. I have not received a refund!

It’s a Midwest slope so it’s nothing special and I knew that going into it. The problem is the price. It was $90+ for night skiing on a Thursday which is comical. Two weeks prior I was out west and the resorts there, which are actual mountains with thousands of acres of skiable terrain were charging less than that for a day pass. If Wilmot lowered their pricing then I wouldn’t have an issue with it. But as it stands, the price to value ratio is too far gone.

Very pricy for what is probably the smallest hill I’ve snowboarded at approximately 190 vertical feet. For 20-40% lower cost there are other Wisconsin resorts with double the elevation. One star reduced for that.

Steep, icy ramps at the chair lift exits made it difficult for most people to safely get off. I am experienced and could bomb past the mostly unavoidable 10-15 ft patches of ice at the exit of some chairs, but it seemed like one in every three people were exiting less than gracefully, frequently causing the chairlift operators to slow the lift temporarily. Two stars removed for this since, quite frankly, the lift ticket cost alone should represent top tier service and maintenance of runs, including the chairlift exit paths being one of the most critical. Issues here will impede the flow and pace of that particular lift, causing longer lift lines.

A side note and what is almost another star deducted for me is the quality of the terrain park jumps. There are essentially two, one is a small kicker with a flat landing, and the other, full-size jump has too lofty of a lip and too shallow of a landing. I can’t nag on the park crew too much because I don’t know them or how well they’re paid. I suppose that goes for the lifties as well. My two cents; I’d spend it at another resort.

Overcrowded lifts lead to a serious injury. Ski patrol insisted that it wasn’t serious and were condescending when we voiced concern at the urgency needed for medical attention. We went to the hospital and the got x-rays anyways which confirmed that there were multiple fractures. Wilmot refused to assist with any medical costs - ski at your own risk!

Wilmot is careless with credit cards. Wilmot made a $685, unauthorized charge to my credit card. My daughter was on the guest list for her friend's birthday party, and since we have an account with Wilmot they charged my credit card for the whole party. I wasted my time talking to a customer service representative who eventually gave me the group sales phone number. Group sales did not pick up the phone for 2 days or return messages. I find out from the party host that she managed to get through and was assured I would get a refund. But Wilmot never bothered to contact me, despite knowing they made a false charge to my credit card , so I had to call again. Then I'm given an email address. So that I can describe the problem for a fourth time. I finally get a response by email. No apology. No acknowledgment of their error. And nothing to compensate me for my wasted time.

This is our local hill coming from Chicago. It’s a love hate relationship, bc it’s the best we have that’s under a 45 min drive.
Runs are short, but there is nothing we can do about it, that’s nature. They do a good job producing snow, vail resorts did a nice job installing new machines and I’m grateful for that. The lifts are good too, for the two biggest areas they replaced them and I have no issues there. Instructors and lifties a good and helpful. Especially if you have little ones. Bunny hills and magic carpet make it a good family experience for beginners.
I don’t rent, but they have decent equipment and the techs have a good common knowledge of what they need to know. Be prepared to wait on line if your renting on the weekend, It’s pretty packed.
The food is very ok, when vail bought it the food was much better but it seems to continue to go down hill (pun intended). There are two areas to get food. The bar is better as it’s table service. The cafe does what it’s supposed to and fils the food void. You can get chili, pizza, burgers, chicken fingers, tacos and a few others. Lots of snacks. Prices are pretty expensive but it’s a ski hill so you pay the price.
If I went there more often I’d probably bring my own, but we get to the hill 4-5 times a year.
Lift ticket prices are expensive. If you don’t buy a preseason pass your going to pay $120 for a weekend day pass and $70-$80 durning the week. I suggest getting a three day if your not an avid skier. If you ski a lot it’s best for the pre-sale season pass as you have options to add other vail resorts.
Like I said it’s a love hate relationship, if you want to ski, there are few options so but the bullet and just go. A day on the hill is a good day.

Ok, newbie here. I mean, literal newbie. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I went on a Friday in January, and I never had to wait for a lift. It was great.

For other newbies: I recommend watching videos REI has on YouTube. It's super informative and will help you have a great day and be well prepared. Wear layers, and rent your gear before arriving. It makes the day super smooth. And ask questions along the way. Employees are super knowledgeable and helpful!

Tubing at Wilmot was so much fun! Staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. Instructions for tubing were straight forward and people of all ages were having a blast. Our tickets even came with a hot chocolate!
We ended up going on Wilmot’s 80’s Night and we won a prize through the raffle! The kiddos were able to enjoy their hot cocoa with some complimentary smokes on the outside deck!
Would definitely recommend for a date night or a fun family outing

I get that Vail is trying to monopolize the industry as much as they can but $100 for a single weekend day (after scouring the internet for a discount) just to ride something that is practically the same thing as Sunburst in Kewaskum seems really steep. Almost $10 for a draft of Spotted Cow is absolutely ridiculous as well.

The instructors I interacted with were absolutely amazing and knowledgeable. It’s a shame that their talent is wasted here.

The slopes were what you would expect for that fresh MiDwEsT pOwDeR (ice) and a 2 minute ride up the lift for a 15 second ride down. The plus side is if you can ride here you could probably ride anywhere. Knock the price down by $20-30 per person and it would be perfect to come back to every weekend and afternoons during the week.

Mountain is very lacking compared to other resorts. Only a few runs to go down and the staff was incredibly rude when my partner was about to fall off the chair and I shouted for them to stop it. The chair operated walked over with a really bad attitude and made us feel unwelcome, even going as far as to saying we could get kicked out and needed to pay more attention when my partner was clearly in a state of fear. This was at the very start of our experience there.

I have taken my 3 kids skiing here a few times this past week. All of the instructors are very nice, kind, skilled, and accommodating. The people who work at the lessons desk were very rude short. You would think they would be kinder since the public does have a choice of where to bring their family skiing and lessons are not cheap. Additionally, the rentals line was very backed up. So backed up that my children were late to their lessons, even though we did arrive at least 40 minutes prior to the lessons beginning. One of my children's Skii's were fitted incorrectly and we had to go back to get them refitted after waiting in an incredibly long line. So, he would not receive the full time of his lesson, 20 minutes of it, and they would not make it up or give a partial refund.

Despite these hiccups, the bulk of the staff and the facility is great. It is nice to be nice and people do notice when staff is unkind and rude.

I purchased snow tubing tickets, and apparently the website glitched out prior to checkout and gave me tickets for the wrong date. The website indicates all you have to do is call or email them for a refund. I called multiple times ahead of time, and was given the runaround several times. SEVERAL TIMES. SEVERAL TIMES. THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND WHEN I CALLED ABOUT IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PURCHASE, EVEN THOUGH THEIR ONLINE POLICY INDICATES I AM ELIGIBLE FOR ONE. I was given the wrong number as a point of contact, I was told I was being transferred then got hung up on. I emailed them and I am hoping they email me back fixing the tickets for the correct date or refunding me. Regardless, their customer service was so poor. The woman I spoke with at the Veil Colorado line was helpful as she could be but did not have access to fully modify my order. But the Wisconsin number was a nightmare.

Update: I received an email response on 12/20 with an apology as well as a refund. I ended up going to Wilmot on 12/25 with my family and had a great experience overall and their staff on site was wonderful.
I do feel the company needs to take their refund call center situation more seriously and make the necessary changes for a smoother refund process, so I won't be changing the amount of stars I gave them.

I think if you go to Middle East you'll find better pavement in the parking lot. Zero maintenance on the parking lot, full of potholes and they don't care. All they care is to charge expensive lift ticket prices for small hill in the Midwest. Go elsewhere, you'll be wasting money coming here. You can go down the hill in matter of 10 minutes and it's all ice. Good luck fellas.

Love wilmot! The skiing is always fun. The staff are all super friendly and nice and work hard to give the best experience. Awesome to have somewhere only an hour away from Chicago.

The reason i take two stars off, is because the prices are inane, to the point i cannot get anyone without an epic pass to come with. Second the hours are worse than what they used to be. Third, and maybe most importantly, the mountain has still not fully opened. Alpine valley 20 minutes away has been fully open since day one. With the prices in mind, this is really unfair to ticket buyers and also pass holders.

I recently spent a day at Wilmot Ski Resort, and it was such a great experience! It’s the perfect spot for a fun day on the slopes without needing to travel too far. The runs are well-maintained, and there’s a nice mix of options for beginners and more experienced skiers alike.

What really stood out to me was the staff—they were super friendly and genuinely seemed to care about making sure everyone was having a good time. I also noticed the ski school is a big hit, especially for families. Watching kids and first-timers pick up skiing with patient instructors was heartwarming.

The lodge was cozy and had everything you’d need to take a break, including surprisingly good food for a ski resort. It’s not the biggest mountain, but it’s perfect for a quick getaway when you’re itching to hit the slopes.

All in all, Wilmot has a great vibe—relaxed, welcoming, and just plain fun. Whether you’re a first-timer, a family, or just looking for a casual ski day, this place delivers. I’m already planning my next visit!

A fun place to ski but nothing special. Very short runs and usually all man made snow with slow lifts though for the area that's as good as it gets. The resort unfortunately has felt more corporate since it got aquired by Vail and the daily lift price is kinda insane for the size of the mountain.

I've been going to Wilmot for over 10 years. Loved the feeling of the old resort and inexpensive tickets. Vail bought the resort a few years back and it's been downhill ever since (excuse the pun). I stopped going this past season in lieu of other resorts that have much better value and ski/board experiences. One thing that led me to stop going to Wilmot is that the past 10 or so times I've gone, barely half the mountain was open. This along with long lines and slow lifts made my decision much easier. My favorite run at Wilmot is Stateline. I haven't seen that run open in years. I get that they cannot control the weather but Stateline is arguably the best run on the hill and they make no attempt to cover it with blown snow in between natural storms. The price is high and the experience is bad. Makes much more sense to take my family elsewhere. I recommend Alpine, Cascade or Chestnut for a much more enjoyable experience and better value. Sorry Wilmot but you blew it with this family.

We recently visited Wilmot Mountain with excitement, knowing it's part of the Vail Resorts family, but unfortunately, our experience left us deeply disappointed due to the actions of one individual. My wife and I encountered racism and numerous derogatory comments directed at our race and color.

We had signed up for training and were assigned a private trainer. Initially, he began with what seemed like harmless jokes, which we laughed off as innocent banter. However, the situation took a distressing turn when he persisted, making numerous comments about our brown skin color and heritage.

He made remarks insinuating that all individuals of our race are associated with tech support, accompanied by mockery of Indian accents.

He made derogatory comments about the supposed strong smell of curry associated with Indian people and how it permeates everywhere.

He remarked that all individuals of our race look alike, indicating an inability to differentiate between us.

He lamented the perceived takeover of jobs by individuals of our race, reducing our community to stereotypes such as working solely in gas stations.

These comments persisted throughout the two-hour training session, leaving us in disbelief that such attitudes still persist in this day and age.

We believe it's crucial for management to address such behavior swiftly and effectively to ensure that all guests feel welcome and respected at Wilmot Mountain

Only been here one time. It's not a bad place but very small and the runs are extremely short. My biggest complaint is that the lift ticket pricing for this place is steep. $69 for a weekend ticket.

Purchased a lift ticket and rental package a week ago for today Monday 3/4. Showed up at the resort to find it fully deserted with the snow machines all packed up and the slopes dry.

Turns out the season ended the day before. Not only they sold me tickets up to a week ago, and a ski lesson to my friend, nobody cared enough to notify me or my friend that the resort would be closed!

Burnt a full PTO day. I can’t imagine a business would be run so incompetently.

Wilmot mountain is continuing to stay open despite not having appropriate conditions to be open. They are misleading customers by posting pictures of a snow covered “mountain”, despite their trail cams showing almost nothing but mud.

When I called them out on doing so on Facebook, they blocked me (as well as everybody else who did so). This is a disgusting business practice which aims to profit off of misleading customers.

Wilmot Mountain’s blatant efforts to mislead customers will lead to nothing bit disappointed skiers and snowboarders, and possible injuries to those who show up, shell out nearly $100 per person and then are pointed towards muddy hills with patches of ice.

Decent experience. It was my first time skiing and everything looked organized and straightforward. The guy at the very front entrance was very nice and welcoming. However, the people on the actual snow/skiing area were so rude. They kept rushing me to get out the way. They continue to say not to ruin their lesson. Mind you this is my first time skiing and I let them know. I get that I didn’t buy a lesson but the disrespect and pressure is uncalled for. It is also very expensive for there being barely any snow.

Loved it. My kids got ski lessons and the same day were going down blue runs. The courtyard has fantastic food when you can unwind and rehydrate and hit the slopes.

I needed a place to warm up before heading out west for a ski trip. It did its job perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful. The snow was man-made, but not icy.

Wow! Thank you to Gary, Lance, Kyle, Eliot, Olivia, and Jon for taking such AMAZING care of us today ( I believe there was another instructor too but his name is slipping my mind). We had 3 kids and 3 adults all learning how to snowboard today. They were so extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind to us as we learned. I would highly recommend taking lessons and trusting you will be in good hands here at Wilmot! Thank you for a WONDERFUL experience!

Surprisingly unhelpful customer service. We reached out to change a reservation time via email per the company's instructions more than 24 hours ahead of our reservation time. Their automated email response stated they will respond within 3 days.

I reached out via phone to confirm the request the next day. 12 minutes on hold to get connected to a team member who told me it would be no issue to change the reservation time. A moment later I was informed that they actually could not update the reservation time and also could not refund the original reservation since it was now no longer 24 hours in advance of the reservation.

Customer service was clearly not interested in helping the customer. Better locations in the area to spend one's time.

The place was so pretty! First time skiing so we took a lesson. Our instructor Chip was very nice and was very good at giving us critiques on our form and how we could improve. We’ll be coming back for another lesson! It was a little muddy but other than that super fun day

Lifts were very quick and efficiently run. Perfect hills and runs for learning the basics of skiing/snowboarding at all levels. Lodge had good tacos and their night skiing even had a little event where they handed out free led lights to make everyone on the slopes look just a little bit cooler.
