I have had great meals here in the past, however, this past Tuesday evening I had their Wague Beef hamburger special. It was TERRIBLE ! I ordered it without a bun & it came to me totally overdone & actually burned! Plus, it was so small & thin!
Shame on them for allowing something so awful to be served! I sent it back . They took some $ off my bill, but I don't intend to go back for a long time & will never order their "famous " Wagua burger again which is overpriced to begin with!

We hadn't been to Wilson Creek Inn prior our dinner reservation. It really was a wonderful experience. Immediate greeting at the host station, and we arrived just prior to our reservation so we were seated immediately.
The list of entrees and appetizers is comparably shorter than other places, and there is a good variety of options from filet mignon, shrimp, chicken,pasta and soups/salads.
Our server was Niki, she was very sweet, attentive, engaging. As was the other staff we observed.
App arrived quickly, and so did our main meals. Absolutely delicious, and hot. Oh, did I mention popovers? They have them with every entree. They are warm, flaky and served with cinnamon butter.
The most amazing experience of Willow Creek:
Appetizer, two alcoholic drinks, two entrees (with included popover, soup/salad and choice of potato)...under $100. Under $80. And under $70. I chuckled, because getting fast food options are closing in on $40 to 45. For $20 more I will drive to Willow Creek and enjoy everything.

Very disappointed. The menu they have on line said they had a prime rib special on Saturdays. They did not have that special so we ordered the surf and turf and the steak was way over done. We both ordered it medium and they both came out pretty well done.

The food was really good, but the service could be better. The waitress didn't really know how to describe any of the food to us beyond what was in it. We had also forgot our leftover food on the table in the take away containers, we couldn't have been away from the table for longer than a literal minute, but when I went back in, it was gone. Was told it was just in the back, they would bring it right out. Cue about 5 minutes later, they had already thrown it out. I would have rather they just told me it was tossed so I could go on with my night rather than just stand there waiting. If it werent for that, this would have been 4 stars. Moral of the story, if you forget your take away containers, dont bother going back for them.

My experience at Wilson Creek Inn was excellent! The facility is beautiful and warm, the service was great, and the food was exceptional. I had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with the cafe de Paris sauce, and the excellent flavor was experienced all the way to the core of the meat. If you find yourself in the Menomonie area, I highly recommend dining at Wilson Creek Inn.

My husband and I went here tonight and I hate to say we will never go back. As soon as we walked in we were told it was a 30 minute wait. So we went to the bar. We figured we would just sit there which was absolutely uncomfortable and not some place you you wanna try and eat. The whole time we were there we seen 2 cute little tables sit empty the entire time. I ordered pasta with marinara and Alfredo it had no taste. My husband had the chicken parmesan and it was burn. Needless to say after a few bites we boxed it and left.

Solid supper club and roadside inn. We didn’t make it for the prime rib night but had a nice casual meal at the bar consisting of the ribs special, chicken Parmigiana, salad and the fried duck, bacon and cream cheese. Che knight the corner seats in the bar with built in fish tank.

I love the Supper Club culture of Wisconsin. Enjoyed a good dinner and we were really happy with the food especially the Chorizo Pepper Pasta. Try the duck wonton in blueberry sauce too! That was a pleasant surprise 😮

Oh my gosh, we so stumbled upon an amazing supper club. The outside is not much to look at but when you walk in the building be prepared to be Wowed!! The wood work, trim carpentry will bring you back to elegance from "Downton Abby" time. Elegance!!!! Seating area has a cool aquarium, hard to describe see picture. The staff was swift and knowledgeable. Food will not disappoint!! So recommend the Key lime Martini ! And Fish Fry on Monday and Friday night! This is now my most favorite place ❤️ 💛 💕 worth every penny!!

First they want to be an upscale restaurant, the staff dresses like they just came off the street. The staff was more worried about the regular then new people coming in. The food was ok at best. The popovers are to be served warm not cold. Also should be given each a small plate for the popovers. The vegetables should be cooked and seasoned should not taste raw.

Food: Prime Rib was very tough to cut. Pan seared vegetables were undercooked, Lyonized potatoes undercooked, and the beer was amazing, cold, and refreshing. The salmon and walleye were good. No complaints there. This is the first time my cut of meat and vegetables were not to my expectations. The famous popover, as usual, is amazing with the cinnamon butter. I will return. The staff was amazing. We overheard other customers voicing concerns about food and "is everything okay.". I do look forward to coming back.

For the price of the steak it was quite average. Comparble to chain steakhouses. Charged me 3$ for onions and 3$ for mushrooms on steak. Fries bland as well. No mention of these toppings prices on menu.

The service was great, but it was nearly the only redeeming quality. The waitress was very nice and understanding about some of our qualms.
They didn't have the wings we ordered. I ended up getting a burger. They do not have pickles at all, which is a little odd but not a hill I'll die on. My burger was overcooked and they only gave me one tiny piece of lettuce for it, so I asked for some more and I got a second, larger piece of lettuce, but it was overripe, dark, and mushy. My French fries were undercooked and mushy as well, not crispy at all.
The mushroom soup used to be a favorite of ours, the waitress let us know the recipe changed, but it didn't nearly compare to what it used to be. The broth/cream was very thin, the mushrooms were pretty thickly cut, and the only flavor it really had was salt. Adding pepper did help.
My husband ordered a steak with lyonnaise potatoes, which was a dollar uncharge. The steak was good, I'll give it that. But the "lyonnaise potatoes" were just glorified hashbrowns, which he does not like, and again were not crispy. When we had looked up what lyonnaise potatoes were, they appeared more like how au gratin potatoes are sliced, not just hash browns.
I unfortunately don't think we will be coming back. I don't think the prices are justified for the quality of food, but I will say the service and the drinks are good, so they've got that going for them.

Just beautiful inside! Very comfortable, inviting. Hard to find a restaurant open on a Monday, whoo hoo. Plus, its fish fry on Monday, many options, and so good. The popovers are served with honey butter. Very good, great service too.

Seven of us had the ribs. None of us liked them at all. Very little meat on them. Some of them were raw in spots. Waitress comment was "everyone else likes them". I don't know if we got a bad batch, but I will never go back for ribs again.

The place is really cute. I was super excited to try this place. But initially the service was subpar. It took awhile to be seated it was a Tuesday night and not busy. A sign was there to go to the bar if no one was available and when they found the hostess she was the same woman that looked right at me and ignore me. Everything was fine after being seated. They were out of the item I wanted. No big deal. Supply chain blah blah... That's how it goes. Order another item. I was sooo excited for the popover because I never see them served anywhere and they are delicious. After receiving them and I started to tear it open there was mold inside the popover. How dissatisfied I was cannot be expressed. I get that stuff happens. When we showed the waitress she took it away and explained that they make bread pudding with day old popovers. Now my question is how many go in moldy. She offered a free dessert. A manager didn't come over. No money off the meal. I am annoyed because I didn't make a big deal but getting $4 off my incomplete meal would have been nice. Free desserts are given to birthday meals at a lot of restaurants for free, which we were there for my boyfriends birthday anyway. I just will not be returning. I was hoping it was good because I would have taken my mom there when she visited.

Arrived 10 minutes before our 7 pm reservation and got seated at 7:30. Parties with reservations later than us were seated before us.
We had a party of 3 and were seated at a table big enough for 1 person. We waited 5 minutes and a waitress never came. We left and got better service and a bigger table at Culver's.

We absolutely loved this place. The food was incredible and the service was top notch. We had the shrimp scampi, crab stuffed chicken, prime rib, coconut shrimp, prime rib bruschetta, & crab & whitefish cakes. Everything was fresh, warm, and amazingly delicious. Drinks were top notch as well. Old fashioneds were great. Highly recommend checking this place out! Best supper club in Menomonie!

Ordered pasta marinara/Alfredo blend. Did not care for it at all. Very disappointed in it and not happy that l was not even asked if l wanted something else. Sat and watched my husband eat his supper then left. To make matters worse we were celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary. They did not even offer to reduce the cost of our bill either. Didn't expect it to be free but a small compensation would be nice even. Won't return to even to try something else. The saving grace was our fabulous server who truly felt bad.

STUPENDOUS! We arrived about 8pm after biking the Red Cedar River trail on a Thursday night. The special was surf and turf with 3 small tenderloin medallions and 3 coconut shrimp with cream of crab soup, potato and fresh veggies for $30! The food was prepared well with great seasonings. For drinks we chose an Old Fashion of the LaCrosse Distillary Rye Whiskey. The glass was a generous size with two badabing cherries! staff was friendly and atmoshphere cozy. We will be back!

I feel like the menu could use a little expanding as the menu is a bit limited for the pricing. It's not exactly going to expand its clientele with $30+ steaks and baked walleye. However, the food is delicious.
Oh, and the Ellsworth Cheese Curds are the most Ellsworth I have had, aside from the OG beer battered curds from the creamery itself. It's maybe a weird thing to focus on, but dang if that appetizer didn't take me back in time.

First time here and I ordered Filet Mignon Medium, it arrived Rare. When I commented, the waitress stated my options were pink or no pink. I kept it since I didn’t want an over done steak, but didn’t enjoy it. I have not heard of this pink or no pink option before with ordering steak.

We celebrated our anniversary with a great meal at Wilson Creek Inn. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in the door! We were greeted with a friendly smile, escorted to a cozy booth and ordered the delicious brown sugar old fashions to start our meal. We had the Prime Rib Bruschetta for an appetizer which was very good followed by yummy homemade popovers, soup & salad. Our entrees included Lamb Chops and Tips with Ribbons (recommended by our server) which were both delicious. Next time, we’ll have to save room for dessert. Thank you for a great anniversary celebration!

Looked for a nice restaurant in Menomonie when visiting. Giving an extra star cuz so few such places. Attractive place. Cocktails were good. Enjoyed the flat-topped popovers and maple flavored butter. Strangest French Onion soup we have ever had. Prime rib, roasted potatoes and vegatables were nicely prepared and very tasty. Scallop and Shrimp dish disappointing...shrimps were very good but the scallops were small, gritty and without a beautiful sear, and the cream sauce was meh.

We went here on Saturday night after wanting to go for weeks. We were severely let down. First, the prime rib was practically inedible. Over half of the cut that was served was solid fat. It was chewy and had virtually no flavor. All of the other food the was incredibly bland and tasteless. We definitely could have made a far better meal at home for far less. That all would have been bad enough, but I also found not one but two 5-6 inch long hairs entwined in my pasta....barf. We also had to ask for clean silverware...twice. To top all of this off, we weren't offered any kind of compensation or anything. The owner (who was there and made aware of all the issues) never even bothered to come to the table to apologize or anything. I was truly blown away by the lack of customer service in this situation, especially for a small local business. So disappointing. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Asked for our bill took forever so I asked hostess for bill and a two go container.
She says we're busy other waitresses were taken care of customers told her the prime rib was not very good she says first I heard of will let chef know .
Came with container says you taken you prime home for $32.00 each and they never offered to compensate us so we were going to and then my wife says I'm going to leave it I won't eat it no taste and tough says like cheaper grade of prime .
We had $100.00 gift card very disappointed paid bill had $83 left $17 left gave card to couple next to us won't be back go ahead use it up .we are here 4 months ago was great .
What a change in 4 months also Hostess was not very overly friendly

Wilson Creek Inn has the kind of atmosphere that I want when I go out to eat with my best girl (my wife). Not too crowded, nice fire in the fireplace, attentive service, and good food at a reasonable price. Their fish fry is about the same price as many other places but includes soup or salad and a pop over and coleslaw as well as fish and choice of potato. And they have a decent selection of beer on tap as well as wines and of course Old Fashioneds. With a different featured special every day, it's easy to find an excuse to eat there often.

Reluctantly disappointed. Really don't want to do it but I got a voice my displeasure in my experience there this evening. First of all we loved skoog and have been a fan of the establishment for quite a few years now... So we want nothing more than to see this business thrive as we really like this place especially for the atmosphere... It's incredible to say the least.... But tonight we were disappointed multiple times. First of all it was well over 30 minutes to just get a drink... They were very busy and I understand that but service was super slow And no complementary water to even tide you over. I ordered a piece of salmon to go with my prime rib which I attempted to order both well done and was told they do pink or no pink and that's it (I've requested this at other places with no problem they sear it on the grill and it's awesome) apparently someone forgot to include salmon in my order... It arrived later which I wasn't bothered by but it was raw in the center...I was told by the server that.... Well they serve their salmon medium rare so.... I sent it back and it was returned after about maybe 5 minutes and was still raw in the center. And even after the second attempt was fishy and otherwise flavourless. My server didn't ask if I was happy with it or not even after I left it on the table unfinished. I was pretty bummed. The prime rib was fairly good though seemed but was pretty unremarkable as no real "smoked" flavor as this was highlighted as one of the dishes distinctions. The sides me and my wife ordered lyonnaise potatoes with cheese as suggested by the server and mixed vegetables both tastes like bad fryer flavor and the potatoes along with our cheese curd appetizer were very greasy. I hate to give bad reviews but when your paying 30 bucks a plate at a supper club you kinda expect higher quality. Our server was very nice though and the drinks were very good so not a totally disappointing experience but I feel like the kitchen and management needs the feedback to help improve customer satisfaction and keep the place thriving as we really enjoy going there.

Wilson Creek Inn was O.K. but we've had much better food at more affordable prices. 2 of us did the Monday fish fry and one the shrimp & scallops. The fish fry almost tasted like it may have been frozen pre battered cod or perhaps just not fried up that night. Not saying it was, just how it tasted to us. Certainly on the lower end of perhaps a dozen fish fries we've done in past year. Ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice.

Supper club was lovely. Waitress not so much. Waited over an hour for dinner, salmon was raw and waitress was unprofessional. Typically have great food & service. Tonight was very disappointing. We brought out of town guests too.

Been here about a half dozen times or so. Absolutely no proplems, great food and service, until tonight. Our reservations were at 5 as soon as the restaurant opened. We were literally the first people there. We had a group of five, nithing to big. We were told that they just had opened and it would be a few minuets until we could be seated. Ok, no problem. However, as a group of two, eight and four were seated before us it kinda made us question what was going on. We asked and the lady literally looked at us like she had never seen us before and asked if we had a reservation. A bit frustrating at this point. Fast forward throughout the meal and our experience didnt improve much. The food was cold and our baked potatoes looked,like they were made two days ago. Our server forgot numerous items from food to drinks to sides. Not sure what was going on there tonight but from food, service and seating all of them were not working.

I'm very thankful to the staff for accommodating my special requests. It was the 9 year anniversary of when my wife & I met, we've been going through a rough patch lately, & we needed the special night. We made a last minute reservation, & they agreed to seat us at a table in a section that was no longer being serviced rather than a high top, we were at a little 2 person table in our own section, & I was very thankful for it.
I had checked the menu online before, so I had some expectation of what to expect for pricing... I had the ribeye & my wife had the coconut shrimp. We both enjoyed the meal, the flavor was delicious. I spent the money because of the special night, but I also decided that night to never spend $40 on a steak dinner again. I will go back there, possibly often. It's a nice setting, the food & service were good, but I think I'll go for the $12 fish dinner next time.

Excellent beef barley soup, Alfredo pasta with broccoli and mushrooms was so good. The strawberry mixed greens salad with chicken was very yummy. In town for Stout, will be back when in town again!

Decided to try out Wilson Creek’s special St. Patrick’s Day menu today. It was a great decision! The food was fantastic - Irish Stew, Bangers & Mash, special drinks, and a scrumptious Irish bread pudding made with their popovers. The service was super - shout out to Dana, and the staff was dressed in their festive Irish garb. They always do it up right!🍀

Wont be back salad was warm and wilted dressing was warmer. Soup was cold , the owner took all of our soups back from our table and re warmed them so when they brought them back didn't know who's was who's. (Still cold) What who does that? They couldn't even bring new soups. I didn't even think they could do that ridiculous. Prime rib was so tough couldn't even cut it with the dull knives that we were given, so long and short the dog got a 100 dollar dinner. What a waste.

Open on a Monday night was unexpected and appreciated. The interior was surprisingly clean considering all the different fixtures and textures. Food was good. Ingredients seemed fresh not frozen. Made to order dishes. Found some of the signage out if place and bringing down the level of class. Overall very good 👍

I met a group of friends for dinner at the Wison Creek Inn. This is a lovely restaurant. The bartender (Chris) recommended a Brown Sugar Old Fashioned which is now my new favorite cocktail! The Monday Night Fish Fry was unexpected and delicious. Highly recommend!!

I arrived at the height of the dinner hour with almost every table and bar stool occupied. In spite of that my drinks and food arrived in a timely manner. My steak was also prepared just as ordered. They only had one bartender, Christian, who was doing an amazing job preparing drinks and doing the work of 3 bartenders! I hope management realizes what they have and are compensating him enough. The house specialty, a brown sugar old fashion is a must to try.

Our first visit back since Skoogs. Although we missed the mussels Skoogs was famous for, we truly enjoyed our evening. Our server Dana was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was the best we've had in a long time! The panko chicken linguini was moist and flavorful, peppercorn steak was grilled medium rare to perfection. I had the grilled salmon with shredded potatoes w/ cheese. YUM! Oh and the homemade mushroom soup, I'm still thinking about it! If you want a relaxing dinner with a unique atmosphere, dine at Wilson Creek Inn, Menomonie's BEST restaurant!

When I walked in I thought it looked nice but when we sat down she asked us what we wanted to drink and our drinks came fast but she didn’t ask us if we wanted any appetizers so we sat there for awhile and had to order them when we ordered our main course meals and the appetizers took a little bit but we ate them and waited like an hour maybe hour and a half to get our food when we did it was not flavor full and the steak was salty and the veggies that came with the water tasted like you pool water and we asked for steak sauce like A1 or 57 but she said that they didn’t have any what restaurant doesn’t have steak sauce even when you sell multiple types of steak and when we were done eating she took the plates away and didn’t ask if we were done or if we were still eating and we had to ask for boxes and she took awhile to give us our bill so we stayed there for about 2 hrs just eating and waiting we had plans to go somewhere after but didn’t have time cause it was getting late because we had to stay there for so long and it seemed like the waiters only attended to the people who go there a lot so overall wouldn’t eat there again and wouldn’t tell anyone else too either

service was really slow, our waitress gave us our food and walked away WITHOUT asking if we needed anything. It took atleast an hour in a half to get food, food had no flavor, and the prime rib was mostly fat. Despite all this they weren’t even busy. Overall food was definitely NOT worth the wait & price and we will not be returning.

This establishment maybe okay for locals that have developed friendships with the staff but various signs this place is financially in trouble. Special dishes are heavily spiced to cover up close to spoiled food, hard and stale desserts, burnt and hard dinner rolls and a meek salad with one tomato and small cucumber slice. The staff was not trained very well and shards of thick bones throughout the dry fish. Owners, simple problems to fix, do so for the staff that deserve promising pay and job security.
