The atmosphere was good, it wasn’t busy but we were there later at night. Food was decent, nothing extraordinary. Cheesecurds were subpar in my opinion. Ribs were good. The waiter didn’t seem to be very excited to be there but was still decent. The speakers were louder so if you are hard of hearing it would be hard to hold a conversation with someone across from you.

3.5 stars. My biggest complain is the price. The $16 shakes are litteraly 50% whipped cream. The toppings on mine where gross and where wasted. $3 upcharge for fries on a nearly $20 burger is dumb. A $12 american cheese grilled cheese kids meal is high. The classical music playing was an odd choice for a 'sports pub?', This definitely didn't have the upbeat vibe we where expecting. We had a very nice server & pretty good service. We almost got overcharged $4 but that charge was removed. Our patty melt was okay. The fries where fresh and good. Good pretzel. Great ranch.

Only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 is because the Service was good and they were very polite. Now the food I'm reviewing are the BURGERS. The wife & I both ordered different burgers the Hamburger patties were EXTREMELY over cooked. I'm talking to the point where you could of taken a bite each out of my work boots and this burger and not have known the difference because they were so dry like shoe leather. We asked if the smash burgers could be cooked less maybe to a medium at most and they told us "No it had to be Medium Well or Well done" but they were just nasty and too dry. If the burgers are this dry it makes me to nervous to try the ribs or other items. The staff was polite and offered us other food, but just reimbursed us for the Burgers. So very polite but can't recommend the food.

Every time I come to this restaurant, there’s some kind of issue. The first time, the staff was incredibly rude. Now I tried to place a takeout order at 10:35 PM, and the doors were already locked—even though they clearly say they close at 11:00 PM. Went to the brew pub on a stay at the Kalahari with my family on Easter Sunday.

Pros:
- Plenty of TV's with various sports.
- Kids menu with some good options.
- My entree of chicken straps was really good. I liked the corn bread as well, very tasty.
- Server was friendly.
- Bathrooms were very clean

Cons:
- upcharge of $3 for fries is a bit much.
- The cheese curds were terrible. The absolute worst I've ever had. I'm from Wisconsin and have had many cheese curds. These were way over cooked and barely had any cheese.

I was impressed both with the person who seated us as well as the person who waited on us. The person who seated us listed with interest a story our son wanted to tell her. They seemed generally interested in the story and was engaged with him. The wait staff came right over and took our order which included drinks an appetizer, and our food order. The drinks and appetizer came out right away and the food was not all the far behind that.
The food was fine but seemed a bit overpriced but it is the Dells and you have to expect that to some degree. The big surprise is the service not something the Dells is known for.

We went for happy hour from 3-5pm. We were quickly seated as we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. Service was slow. Appetizer and food arrived at the same time. The food was warm but not hot on arrival. Food did taste good. Bought 2 shakes ($14 each). Upon arrival, the shake didn't have the ice cream cookie, as shown in the pictures, and instead had a thin mint. When asked about it, they brushed it off and said, "they must have changed the menu or something," and walked away. Both shakes had half 1/3 to 1/2 of the shake filled with whipped cream. Service was VERY slow. They had many open tables plus a wait, which led me to believe they were understaffed. By the time our table was greeted we were ready to order our drinks, appetizer, and meals.

When we first got here I was expecting it to be super touristy. fun atmosphere but poor food. My expectations were proven wrong however. When we got there they told us it would be a 30 minute wait, we put my number down and we headed back to the car, we were going to fill in the mean time. before I could turn my car on, I got a text saying our table was ready. we headed in and were seated right away. We were told that food might be a bit of a wait, which was not an issue, the food was not that long of a wait either.

I ordered a smash burger, it was done nicely and very tasty, although if I were to nitpick, I would have like a bit more seasoning, not a big deal.

We had dinner here while staying at the Kalahari resort. The quality of the food is pretty disappointing compared to the price. We will be eating somewhere else the rest of our stay. The mac and cheese was dry and bland. The fish was overly greasy which caused the breading to be soggy on the bottom. The cheese curds with the blue cheese buffalo dip were great. And the brisket was good too. Service was mediocre, long waits for everything & my Cesar salad was never received. When she brought the bill the server was surprised that I never got the salad. I was excited to try this place out while staying at the resort. I read the negative reviews but decided to give it a chance anyway. Turns out the reviews were correct about the quality of the food. I had the smokehouse burger and it was just plain bad and the worst burger I’ve ever had. I don’t know how anyone could dry out a smash burger but it was completely dry and overdone. The brisket was cold and also dry. The bbq sauce is extremely sweet and just more of a sugary sauce and not a bbq sauce in my opinion. The burger had only one strip of bacon on it which I’ve never seen just a single strip of bacon on a burger before. The burger was so bad and dry I had to pour a cup of ranch on it to add some flavor and moisture to it. I opted to spend an extra $5 to upgrade to the pub fries and the cheese was just plain cold shredded cheese thrown on top of the fries. It wasn’t even close to melted which completely ruined the pub fries. Eating fries with cold shredded cheese on top isn’t an enjoyable experience. The burger and fries alone were $25 and just gave me a sick feeling because everything was so bad and I felt ripped off because there was no value at all. The kids meals and the side of cheese curds were ok. I also want to point out the buffalo ranch which came with the cheese curds wasn’t even mixed completely. The ranch and buffalo sauce was clearly separated which showed that they didn’t even spend the time to mix the 2 together completely. I was disappointed in the meal and couldn’t leave the place fast enough after spending over $60 on a meal. I was just sick to my stomach because I felt cheated and ripped off because this place was soo bad.

I thought burger and the cheese would be on the burger, however they had drizzled it on the bun. Once that is done, in my opinion it is no longer a burger because it can't be picked up to eat. The "BBQ" ribs were the worst ribs I've ever experienced. I knew going in that they wouldn't be bbq'd or smoked. But I figured I'd try them anyway - maybe pick up a flavor or a tip or trick to use (I enjoy smoking ribs at home). I assumed they would be baked or broiled. Unfortunately it was not a good experience for anyone. We walked in and asked to sit in the barrel again, which the host happily accommodated. We then proceeded to sit there for over 15 minutes waiting to put in our drink order as we knew what we wanted. Finally after that long wait our waiter came up and barely introduced himself before telling us they had Pepsi products. Didn’t apologize at all for the wait or anything. Came back with our drinks and put in our food. Then the food took over 20 minutes to come out of the kitchen, even though again, the half of the restaurant we were sitting in was basically empty with 2 other tables. My spouses food was fine and they really enjoyed the tenders and fries that were given to them, my food however, was mostly cold, and it looked like the patties had either been sitting there for a while or had been burned. Our waiter never came back to check on us until our food was basically gone. We asked for the bill and then asked for a box as well. This was the time the server was most attentive finally after almost an hour of being there. I debated even posting this as both my spouse and I had worked in the fast food industry for many years and we understand that things happen. As we were leaving, we noticed the other half of the restaurant was pretty full, but we also had been there much earlier than most of those folks. I don’t expect anything from this but that was by far our worst experience we have had at a restaurant together now after 5+ years together. We really enjoy the shakes but they are not worth the $14+ they can go for with lack luster service.

Lots of TVs and service was good when it was my family. When I went with a group of 10, we had a long wait for drinks and to place our order. Understandable to some degree, but 25 minutes to just take our drink order is a little drastic.

They made me pay full price for a drink for happy hour, and when explaining it they were super rude. When I showed the happy hour poster to prove my drink should have been discontinued, they just told me that the poster was unclear and I still had to pay full price.

I had never up until that point heard of Kalahari. I just saw a sign from the interstate that said "Brew Pub" at the same exit as my motel. Had I known what I was getting into, I would have done better research and known that it wasn't a real brew pub run by a local brewery. Instead, I unwittingly walked into an overpriced "family friendly" hellscape. I thank God that I wasn't there during the busy season.

Everything on the menu was priced so incredibly outrageously high that at first I assumed it was all you can eat and drink. Instead, it was just high priced food that would have been delicious if they'd just taken a few seconds to consider adding some seasoning. But, when your key demographic is worn out families of small children, being bland probably isn't even noticed.

The service was, well, there. Sometimes. Mostly hiding in a corner on the far side of the bar. But, I wasn't completely ignored.

This is not a place for singles, or couples, or meeting friends, or really for anyone intelligent enough to successfully use birth control. Not just the restaurant, either. Avoid that whole area. Do not leave the interstate at that exit. Ever.

Got the fish fry and it was soggy. The coleslaw had something bad in it. When my friend brought it back to the kitchen. They offered to bring me more of the worst coleslaw I've ever had.

This was a trend for everything else my table had. Go to the Kwik trip in the parking lot for better food.

Disgusting experience! Stopped here around 9pm to try their milkshakes. Watched their staff sweep up piles of spilled food and drink under the booths and then sweep the booths (where you sit) with the same disgusting brooms. Talked to manager about it and he seemed to care less. It must be a normal practice here. We wanted to leave immediately. We paid our bill and left. One of the grossest things I've ever seen. So nasty and disgusting!

The food was cold. The cheese curd burger came with what tasted like a Kraft single rolled up in a ball. The ribs were okay but cold. I got house salad with the ribs. It came at the same time as the ribs.

I ate with my family, 9 meals. Of the 9 meals order 2 were hot, 2 were warm, 3 were cold, 2 were really cold.

Service was not good and gratuity was automatically added to the bill. The bill was around $250 and the experience was so dreadful it is hard to express how dissatisfied I was with the whole experience.

Our table ordered a few shakes. Some with and some without alcohol. They came looking amazing. But only 1/3 of it was shake. The rest was just a huge mound of whip cream. No lie. It was 3 sips, and the shake was gone, leaving the thick whip cream. It was very disappointing. Especially when you’re paying $16 for one. Also asked the waitress to add the $10 play card, she accidentally forgot, and since she rung us up already, it was, too late.
Also ordered the s’mores. It was ok. Only the flame died. Waitress restarted it. And we were pretty startled at what was used. It looked like a piece of paper soaked in some sort of chemical to keep the flame going. That was pretty questionable. Tried to ask the waitress, and she had no clue. My family would return to Kalahari. Just not this place.

When ordering any sandwich. I highly recommend not getting pub fries. They are not fries. They are deep fried kettle chips that are hard as rocks. They didn't ask nor do they specify these nasty burnt chips come with everything unless you tell them regular fries. There were three adult meals ordered, two came with nasty burnt chips and one with fries. We didn't order anything differently and were confused why we got deep fried burnt garbage chips with a dinner sandwich. The fries are good. The burnt chips are straight trash.

We were visiting the Kalahari resort for a convention that we needed to go to right after lunch time when our plan to eat in our hotel room ahead of the event while we got ready was disrupted by a fire alarm. We evacuated and figured out how to get ready for the event, and then realized we only had 40 minutes to get lunch with no way to access the food we had planned to eat.

We went to the Wisconsin Brew Pub, explained the situation to the host, and got a table with Simeon serving us. Our order for the person that had to be at the event early was expedited, our requests for a box for one of the meals was quick, and we all got fed and to our event on time. The food was much better than the snacks we had planned on having.

The staff was professional and well organized and got us back on schedule when we really needed it.

We waited 18 minutes and 42 seconds before were served, but in all fairness they were busy due to most people out celebrating Valentines this weekend, and it did give us time to decide what we wanted to order. The food came out quicker than expected after our order was placed. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, and it was so greasy that it had oil dripping off of it. There was a pool of oil on the tin pan that the food was served on which was not appealing. The menus had food stuck to them and the place just seemed dirty. One visit was enough.
My advice to the servers out there is don't ask people how their food is when they have a mouthful of it.

I have brought my children to this Kalahari water park for the last 7 years at least once or twice a year and it is the second time we have eaten at this restaurant, as guests last night we had dinner here at the brew pub and we got sick we had diarrhea and my children They got diarrhea stomac ache we had to leave the vacation to return to Chicago to take medication and cure the diarrhea due to the bad food at this restaurant we ate 1/2 rack point root beer bbq ribs, brisket burger, crispy chicken burger and crispy chicken bites

Went there for my son's 13th birthday. Wife and I went for Happy Hour. Sat at the bar (only ones at the bar) and ordered the $7.00 tater tot plate and $7.00 (2) brisket tacos. The tots were cold, like refrigerator cold, and the cheese wasn't melted. Taco's, ich! I've been cooking brisket for years, real 18 hour smoked brisket, for years with great success and some screw ups. The brisket Taco's were horrible. The meat was Sooooooooooo dry it made a popcorn fart look moist. I guarantee the brisket was cooked awhile back and frozen. The salsa that was on the Taco's tasted like lime juice. The cream sauce had a funny, salty taste. Tricia, the bar attendant could have been alittle more happy instead of talking with the bar tender, who when i watched him, couldn't make a bloody mary to save his life. All in all, we won't be back
