Lovely interior. Great view from the dining room, but obscured at times by patrons who needed to smoke.
Two of us had burgers and they were great, however we spent the entire time swatting flies we were told are coming in from doors on the water side.
Old Fashioneds are a favorite. We were quite disappointed in their version. It was soda and cherry juice. When asked, we were surprised they didn't try to remake and improve. We asked them to refund one of two drinks and they did, which we appreciated.
We were really looking forward to this place but can't recommend based on our experience. I think they might need to consider a designated smoking area that isn't directly in front of the dining room windows, additional training for the bartender who was working the bar on Oct 8th, both in technical and soft skills, and try to implement something to reduce flies in the dining area.

Food was okay, salad bar was out of lettuce and almost totally out of spinach. The prime rib was cooked well, but personally found it a bit tasteless. The atmosphere was awesome with gorgeous views, and the drinks were really good! I’d say worth a visit!

Went for my birthday for the Friday night fish fry. We were a party of two. Since no tables for two were open in the dining room the hostess pointed to a table in the bar area. There were two people standing up with drinks at the table. We didn’t want to kick them off the table so we went back to the hostess. She showed us to a table for four in the dining room. We waited ten minutes for the waitress to come over so we ordered drinks and our meals right away. We were just finishing dinner and I had half my drink left. The waitress came over and asked if we would be done soon as she had a party of four waiting for a table. I chugged my birthday drink and we left. Big mistake. We go there frequently but not anymore. Don’t go if you are a party of two.

The gouda mac and cheese bites are a MUST, and so is sitting on the patio and enjoying the ambiance.
Not very fond of the chips coming w the sandwiches instead of a choice of fries, but that isn't a deal breaker.
The atmosphere is great, especially w the aquariums w the river fish for kids to see and experience.

We stopped here for a quick meal before hitting the road. There was a beautiful view, but it got old after sitting there with flies buzzing around us for over an hour and a half waiting for our salad to come out. It was very busy, but two rounds of diners around us got their pizza and burgers before we got our salad. We would have waited longer if I hadn't finally tracked down the server to ask about it. She brought it out to us and the grilled chicken was lukewarm meaning it had been sitting for a while. The flavor of the dressing was good, but the lettuce was swimming in it. Finally after two hours, we were able to leave this place, never to return.

Great spot 11 minutes from the House on the Rock Resort; stopped in for dinner. Pretty decent fried pickles, not the best we've eaten, but pretty darn close. Also ordered the jumbo pretzel. The four of us ordered the following: creamy Mac N' Cheese, Chicken Tenders, the Fish Sandwich, and the Turkey Pesto Panini. All decent food, decent portions; prices maybe a tad high, but not too bad. Making a return trip to the house on the rock resort for more golf next year, will most certainly be stopping in.

Found this gem on the way back to Wisconsin Dells. We stopped for a bite after visiting house on the rock and ordered the fried pickles and fried fish sandwich. The atmosphere was so nice. Cabin feel on the inside with the most beautiful view of the river. The fried pickles were the BEST fried pickles we have ever had and we get them whenever they are on a menu. The fried fish was very lightly breaded and generous portions. Was not greasy at all. The only downside is we wish it was closer to where we are staying so we could go back tonight.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time for Fridays fish fry. It was absolutely delicious. We had the fried haddock and the baked haddock, it was hard to decide which was better.
The pricing is awesome, but we are also from Florida so compared to there, it was a gift!
Our waitress was Bernie and she was INCREDIBLE!! We had an issue with my girlfriend’s first order and she fixed it in under a minute!!
Thank you for a great evening and we will definitely be back!

It is seldom that I dole out a five star review and this place didn’t seem too special prior to visiting; however, I left completely satisfied. I had perhaps the best chicken wrap of my life and even contemplated coming back later in the day for a second round. Even if the food was average, the beautiful outdoor patio and pricing would be worthy of a return.

We stopped here for lunch after touring Taliesin. The atmosphere was very relaxed. They say you are on "river time" which was true and we felt like we could stay all afternoon. The view of the river was fantastic. The food was excellent with generous portions. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the chicken sandwich with garlic parmesan fries. Both were delicious. I would recommend stopping here if you get the chance.

This is a no frills type of restaurant. Kind of a hometown cafe in the form of a resort restaurant. It has an ever so slightly uncomfortable atmosphere. The staff were helpful. The food was pretty good, but I wouldn't drive out here just for it. I did really enjoy the garlic parmesan fries.

This is a beautiful place right on the Wisconsin river. While here you can look outside to see the now closed Wintergreen which was once the steepest vertical n the state for downhill skiing While this building is beautyful the ski challet at the top of the hill is incredible with touches of Frant Loyd Wright achetecture. The food here is your typical bar food sometimes sprused up a bit. I have never had anything bad while I ate there but wish it was just that much better to go with a great environment and setting. Its a must visi place in the area.

Stopped in to have lunch here today. I had the Hybird Burger, with Sweet Potato fries, and salad bar. The Salad bar is your basic all you can eat salad bar with most of the “typical” fixings. Everything I had seemed fresh and tasted as a salad should. My Burger and Sweet Potato Fries were fantastic!!! The Hybrid Burger 🍔 had a jalapeño, BBQ, Jack Cheese, mix with Bacon on it. The Sweet Potato Fries were some of the biggest and best fries I have ever had, they were delicious. Also they served this with a home made southwest type of dip for the burger and fries. I liked it so much I asked for more of the dip. The view I had today was of the Wisconsin River and the river valley. The atmosphere was friendly, inviting, and I really liked it. I will definitely stop back in here again.

Very disappointing experience! We had a group of 4 people stop by for a quick lunch. Unfortunately, our food did not come out. We’ve been ignored by the waitstaff and finally when we were able to get there attention, we’ve been told to wait for 20 more minutes, after already waiting there for 45 minutes. No apologies, no notice that our food will take so long. The place was also very dirty, full of flies and with dirty silverware on the floor. Do not recommend!

Really great local experience! Our server Maddie went above and beyond. She was sweet, genuine and very attentive. Outside is really beautiful view . Inside is big bar really authentic Wisconsin vibe . Great for young and old people . Probably the only place open in town till 9pm at night . Big portions good comfort food, great deal on drinks .
We all had a great time , we went for lunch ended up staying 4.5 hours
