Big salad bar-YES-yum,, let staff know soup was COLD. Someone from the kitchen came out, looked at it and walked away. Asked staff later if we could have the soup heated up as we love that soup, she was super happy to ablige; same kitchen staff came out as before, walked over to the soup and removed it from the salad bar. Odd to just ignore it before.
Hubby is a steak guy, said it "was average good", that was the same for the whole meal for us.... it was average good, nothing wrong with the dishes we had.
Would we go back again? Meh, we probably have many others to try in town first.

Again, it was not a bad experience, just maybe not worthy of the investment that didn't equal the quality.

I was hoping the supper club vibe would have had some music playing, maybe some varied lighting.

The dining experience was disappointing. Salad plates were hot, soup was cold, and there were onion skins in the soup. The "French fries" were actually kettle chips. The New York strip was half the expected size and 25% gristle. Our server checked on us only once and never refilled our drinks. When I complained, no manager was sent to address the issue. The server removed the steak from the bill, but it’s unusual for a server to do this without management approval, leaving me to wonder if the steak was served knowing it was subpar. We drove two hours for this meal, and it ruined our 10-year anniversary. All of this for the low price of $100—lol.

There are a lot of things I like about this spot- great views, overall very friendly staff, good drinks— but the last several times I’ve visited the wait time for food has been unacceptable. I had visitors in town from
Boston this summer and in July we didn’t get our food until after 9p on a 7p reservation; I then experienced another almost 2 hour wait when I went in August- and last night I waited over 50 mins for a BURGER. I can appreciate places get busy and patience is a virtue. But these times are insane - and a consistent pattern.

I won’t be back/ bringing people again until the kitchen wait times are resolved and reasonable.

This wasn’t my first visit to Wissota High Shores Supper Club, and it certainly won’t be my last! I started the evening with their amazing salad bar, which is complimentary with any dinner selection—such a great touch. For my main course, I ordered the Parmesan-crusted salmon with lemon dill sauce, and it was absolutely out of this world! Each dinner comes with your choice of side, and I went with a classic baked potato. To top off the night, I couldn’t resist the campfire s’mores for dessert. It came with a mini campfire so you could roast your marshmallow right at the table—such a fun and unique experience, and the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. Wissota High Shores truly delivers a memorable dining experience every time!

Had 7 people in our party, our server was fantastic, food was pretty good, but ordered medium on or steaks and they all came med rare to rare and my baked potato was barely warm. My wife ordered walleye as she usually does there and it showed up very well done and was extremely small in size.

We had a wonderful dinner again tonight at one of our favorite supper clubs! We had a small steak with duchess potatoes (twice baked) and the Nueske’s bacon wrapped pork filets with the same potatoes. We also had s’mores for dessert. Everything was outstanding!

We were greeted by the super friendly GM Heidi who always makes us feel special and our server Rachel J, who is absolutely the best!

You need to try Wissota High Shores Supper Club in Chippewa Falls! Their 50 item salad bar with two soups is the very best we have ever had! All of their entrees are also wonderful and reasonably priced. We had reservations on a Wednesday and I would highly recommend to make reservations. They were very busy which tells you they are popular because of their food, service, and location.

This is the 3rd time in the past year coming to this restaurant. Each time I have found the atmosphere inviting and the staff friendly. The soup & salad bar is delicious with lots of choices. Unfortunately, the selection is often well picked over and not replenished quickly. The steak was ok, but not great. So pricey for just ok. 2 people had salmon and said it was good. Other steak was also good. Coconut shrimp was kinda icky with soggy batter. Finally, the ribs were extremely tough and had an odd flavor sauce. Firecracker beens were ok and all the bake potatoes we good, albeit a little underdone.
Overall, meal was not as good as expected bases on reviews or price.
Not sure that we would make the trip again.

It was very nice, the salad bar was very good, including a soup choice. They were busy and didn't refill enough though. Everyone was happy with their entree, I had the duck, which was delicious a bit on the pricey side, but with the economy everywhere seems pricey these days. One of the best experiences we have had at a supper club in a very long time. Mary Beth was our server. We were celebrating Riley and Carson's High School Graduation from Marshfield. They truly enjoyed the salad bar and their entrees. Mary Beth treated them with brownies and ice cream. She went above and beyond to make their experience a true super club experience. We are excited to bring them back to Lake Wissota again soon.

We have come here for years. Last night we were seated in the bar by window, super noisy and like others have said could not hardly converse. And people were almost leaning on our table. I have to say the young girl that waited on us said she was new, was super sweet and did a good job. Salad bar was ok, no saltines for soup, the cauliflower was black and broccoli was bad. The fish was ok, the batter was soggy and a little thick, broiled was good just not a lot of fish for 19$. We always love looking at the lake.

I made reservations over a week in advance. I requested a window view, which was granted, and happily remembered. Our reservations were for 6 pm. We were promptly seated at exactly 6 pm. However, it was very noisy with other conversations (yeah yeah, I sound old but I'm actually not). We could barely maintain a dinner conversation as yelling across the table was absurd. Our server did not ask what we wanted for drinks (or appetizers) until 6:15 pm. We were not served our ordered drinks until 6:45 pm. Our dinner orders were not taken until 6:55 pm. A request for a second round of drinks was not requested (or heard) until 7:25 pm. Our food was not delivered until 7:40 pm (steak and shrimp for a table of four). My requested French fries were so horribly over-cooked, they were reminiscent of doritos potato chips. Our third round of drinks (beer) was completely undelevered, even though three requests were made. At 8:25, our party was asked "did you get those last drinks", to which we confirm, "no". The server offered to get another round, but at a delivery rate of 16 ounces of beer every 45 minutes, we decided it was not worth waiting until 9 pm for our last round of drinks.

If you wish to have mediocre food, a beer an hour, horrible parking, an atmosphere not conducive to have conversation, then this would be place for you!

6:30 reservation, not seated until 7:20. Waitress was very good but had to come back to the table twice to let us know they were out of chicken cordon Bleu and lyonnaise potatoes. Finally got our food at 8:30. When your reservation system says they will expect you to leave within 1:45 of your reservation, but your food doe

My husband and I went on a Thursday night. We made reservations online and upon arrival we were able to get I right away. My husband ordered the pasta special a prime rib pasta. It had a lot of peppers and the peppers over took the flavor of the dish. I ordered a 6 oz steak with mushrooms. I ordered it medium rare. Service was slow. My first steak came out cold and the mushrooms were cold also. They took that steak back and just recooked it. It came back over done. For the price I was paying I expected a new steak. I asked for a new one. The third try the steak was done right. I was unable to enjoy my side with my steak as it was left at the table while we waited for the steak to get done. The steak recook took awhile. One of drinks were taken off the bill but not much was taken off the bill for the inconvenience. We will be back but we will trying other items on the menu.

It has been many years and gone through several owners since I had been here. Our waitress, Lydia, was wonderful. She was engaging, relaxed, jovial, and attentive (all the staff was). Our group ordered 3 steaks and 1 fish fry (Friday night); I had the ribeye with cream sauce and it was perfect. All members of our group had delicious dishes. After having dined here 3 times in the past 4 months. I felt it time to offer my take on this fine establishment. The first was a Veterans day promotion/special they offered. My meal was free, my Significant others meal we had to buy. Understandable, she isn't a Vet.
So I had one of their Saturday night specials, consisting of steak and smoked chicken, with their duchess potatoes and salad bar included 😋!
The salad bar was terrific, hard to find a good salad bar anymore. The salad bar has a very good selection and everything we had from it was quite tasty, a very good ranch dressing. The steak was cooked just how I ordered it, and the smoked chicken also tasted fantastic! My SO had the small cut beef filet mignon with the duchess potato. The waitress even offered a suggestion to my SO as to what she may want to order next time to be able to experience the salad bar better.
We've been back two more times since then, and again were not disappointed. The last we were there was 22 March 2025. This time around I had the in-house smoked, queen cut prime rib. I don't usually partake of prime rib, but after the waiter described the pr I decided to try it. The best pr I've ever had!
Will definitely go back there again.

We visited the Wissota High Shores Supper Club on 30 January 2025 (Thursday Night) to review it as part of our interest in classic Supper Clubs. We were immediately impressed with what we consider to be era atmosphere for a Supper Club. The dining area where we were seated was spacious and conversing at our table was comfortable. The lighting was beautifully dim—just as we like it. [Note: The venue is on the shores of Lake Wissota and outdoor seating is available during the warm season.]

Our steaks and sides were impeccable with a very nice salad bar (including herring—nice touch!) and soups to complement. Our server was very professional and attentive.

A missing piece to most of our Supper Club experiences has been the preparation of a good Old Fashioned. That’s always amazed us! In any event, we each ordered a Maker’s Bourbon Old Fashioned to begin our culinary experience. They were exquisite. In fact, we consider them the best bourbon Old Fashioneds we’ve ever had on our Supper Club adventures.

Overall, we rate the Wissota High Shores Supper Club at 9.25 (equal to our highest score so far). The value is average and reasonable. We certainly recommend this venue to others interested in a great Supper Club experience.

Lara was hands down the best bartender I’ve ever had!! My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here. The dinning room was full so we sat at the bar for dinner. Luckily Lara waited on us and just WOW!! She makes the best Old Fashioned I’ve ever had and suggested an amazing wine for my wife who couldn’t be happier with her choice. The food was incredible, but Lara was the reason we will be back. And to top it off have her make you a Pink Squirrel for a desert drink. The salad bar is ok, the soups were cold. My $25 steak was over cooked and felt like a puck, second steak cooked right but honestly reminded me of something you would get at Applebees. Like it was a frozen microwaved steak. Not at all worth the price, I prefer my $12.99 steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse to be honest. Just terrible quality and over priced.

My husband and I had a great time at Wissota High Shores. We made a reservation and got there early to grab a drink at the bar. Drinks were delicious and made well. My hubs got the fish fry and I got the almond crusted walleye. We got the duchess potatoes for sides and the stuffed mushrooms for an app. The fish was well made and lightly breaded. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner last night. It was out first time there and other than our table, we were very happy with our experience. Mary Beth was our server and she was great! Smoked Prime Rib; very smoky and not flavorful. 3 of us ordered it, none of us liked it.
Scallops: small and tough. Two of us ordered it, neither liked it. I told the server about the issue, and she told me that because they were busy, it would go back to the end of the line if I wanted it to be remade. She offered no discount, did not offer to push it to the front of the line to be remade, and did not give any type of discount. Unacceptable!!!!
Filet steak: very dry and flavorless. Two people shared this and neither liked it.
Noise: INCREDIBLY loud. There is one in every group who feels the need to dominate the restaurant with their laugh.

This was the second time visiting this establishment. The first came here was back in May after seeing an Instagram couple had visited. The Walleye was amazing, so was the service.

Fast forward to Sunday, July 7th. After bragging about this place, I took my husband, daughter, and parents here. I ordered the walley again. It was great. My daughter and step father ordered steaks. They were terrible! Thin, over cooked and $52 each! Very disssapointed. Overpriced boot leather.
Server was nice, but service was slow.
Bottom line, they are great when it's slow. The food and service were poor when it was busy.
Needless to say, I will not be back, which is to bad. Beautiful location.

Our server was challenged with a mismanaged support staff. Drinks took 15 minutes after being ordered and my beer was 1/8 of the glass as the keg blew, why serve that? When taking my order I asked if the ribeye can be cooked medium rare and was told they could. Unfortunately the steak was medium well ( burnt on 3/4 of the edges ) and when I asked for A1 to try and save the steak it never showed. The server tried to make it right unfortunately that time had passed. To my first sentence here is what I observed, our server was bussing tables, running drinks, taking food orders, following up on tables, getting the food from the kitchen and bringing it to her tables as there was plenty of support staff hanging around and the restaurant manager mia. Special days like Father's Day should be all hands on deck although it wasn't here and highly doubtful I would ever come back.

Waited 25 minutes after being seated before we got our drinks. I got tired of waiting for my food so I made a second round to the salad bar and was ready to leave by the time the food arrived. $35 each for cold prime rib and a tough rack of ribs. First time there, not impressed whatsoever.

The staff at this restaurant were as amazing as the food. I mean that with all my heart. We walked in, without a reservation.
The supperclub was packed & these sweet young ladies got us a table within 20 minutes. The salad bar was fantastic. The meal was delicious. Thank you, ladies, for a wonderful experience!

What a pleasant surprise. When I visited Wissota High Shores for the first time recently, the atmosphere felt like dining in a much bigger city, yet retaining lots of small-town charm. It's managed well, and the staff appears to love working there. We had an excellent waitress named Mary Beth, however, we were checked on multiple times by various staff, and all were very friendly and professional. The salad bar is a meal in itself, and our entrées came out perfectly timed. The only negative was that my wife's prime rib was overcooked, but it had fantastic flavor, as did the ribs. So, I wouldn't shy away from ordering either meal. I recommend making a reservation and then visiting Wissota High Shores. You will be happy you did!

Went in for my wife's 50th birthday. We we seated at the time of our reservation. Waited for about 10 minutes before a server came to us. Ordered drinks, Cherry Amaretto Sour( wife did not like as she prefers regular Amaretto Sour. I had the Blood Orange Old Fashion(was a good drink). My daughter had lemonade and she said it had a funny taste, so switched to Sprite. Daughter ordered the Mushroom Chix Alfredo(good) My wife and I both ordered the 14oz Ribeye. My wife ordered well done and I ordered medium well. Both were over cooked and hard to chew, not very appetizing.

Went to High Shores last night with 3 others to celebrate a retirement. What a disaster. Was actually seated immediately upon arrival but once we sat down...it took at least 15 minutes before our waitress came over to get the drink order. I ordered a gin and tonic with a lemon..not a lime. Didn't actually get the drinks for probably another 20 minutes. When they came, I had a lime. I had three of them and each time requested the lemon...every time it showed up with a lime. Then it was maybe another 20-25 minutes before they came back to take the appetizer order. That showed up in reasonable time but everyone at the table just looked at each other with what was put down. We ordered the seafood mushroom caps...there were 5 of them on the plate and the largest was no larger than a quarter and the others about the size of a nickle. I wish I was kidding when I say that, I'm not. And that cost $12, crazy. We also ordered the calamari and it too was sparse on the plate. I wish I had taken a picture of the appetizers and could add them to this post. I am not one of those people who rate restaurants on how much they pile on a plate to determine if its a good place or bad but that was just ridiculous. To make matter's worse, we had ordered our entree's and after maybe another 20 minutes the waitress came back to tell one person...we are out of the chicken kiev..she then ordered a pasta. Another person ordered the daily special, a thick cut porkchop with some kind of stuff on it. When he cut into it, it was completely raw inside...not rare..raw. Sent it back to get cooked more and after 5 minutes when it came back it was only slightly more cooked. I cook thick cut porkchops at home and have never done what was on that plate last night.
We had sat down at approx 6pm and left just before 9pm.
I have no issue paying for a great meal, but whoever thinks 5 mushrooms is worth $12 and a thin average 8oz ribeye is worth $36 is a brave person.
When we left we all said we'd never come back which is sad because we need this kind of place in the area but not if this is how it is.

Must share this, after reading Charlie L. Review I still made the trip with reservations for Mothers Day! With tables open (10-11) we were seated at the table in the corner next to kitchen. We asked for a better table and was turned down!!! Even with lots of tables open. Sorry to say we had a Mimosa at the bar and left... not worth it at all.
Going somewhere else! Probably won't be back, strictly cater to locals.

I hate leaving this review. As a foodie, I feel it's important to try to explain and prevent others for making the same mistake we did. We found this place by searching for "Supper Clubs" in Google Maps. Sure, it's in the name of the restaurant, we looked at the pictures and booked a table for 8:30pm.

We get there early have the usual beverage and the get seated in what could be the worst area of the restaurant, check out the view!. There were plenty of the open tables but for some reason we were seated by the kitchen door.

12 minutes later (I know this because at 15 minutes we were going to walk) someone comes by and asks if were helped. We ordered, the staff now knew that we were 'over there' and we eventually were served dinner.

That is the extent of our experience. The food was unremarkable, the service was good once acknowledged. We paid and left, without anyone noticing. We were ghosted.

I just don't know what we did wrong to be put in the corner when so many tables were open.

Outstanding! Great menu. I recommend the 8oz Filet, medium rare. Could be the best steak I've ever eaten! The appetizers looked amazing but passed on them to partake in their soup and salad bar. Good decision. Lots to choose from their clean, fresh, and well attended selection. Finish with their Ultimate Chocolate cake. Pair that with the Conundrum Red Blend!

We had reservations for 6 and were seated at 6:05. Our Old fashions were great. Hubby had walleye and he enjoyed it. I had the 5 oz filet and it was delicious and perfectly medium rare. The grasshoppers were wonderful. The staff were all friendly, efficient and professional. As always it was a fantastic birthday dinner!

First time in the area and I gave this place a try. Was pretty good. I had a ribeye and shrimp cocktail. Shrimp seemed like some frozen stuff but was still ok, steak was also decent. Salad bar was excellent. Overall it was cheap compared to the places I usually go to in the city, so I was happy with it.

Absolutely wonderful. We had to change our reservation three times and each time Heidi was so accommodating. The service was excellent. Great salad bar and soups. Three of us had the filet and it was definitely worth a return visit! So tender and cooked perfectly. Two others had fish and were very happy with their meals. None of us had any complaints at all. I had not been here for decades and was thrilled to see the "new" (no idea how long it's been) owners doing such a good job.

My wife and I stopped here on the way up to a wedding after seeing a couple of friends post their experiences we decided to give it a try and it was worth it a traditional supper club in every sense of the word great food and even better drinks no wonder why it was so packed, we just sat at the bar as we did not arrive until about 7pm on a long drive from Milwaukee. Sat down bar tender took our drink orders and told us to help ourselves to the salad bar and that someone would be with us to get our dinner order. I got the st germain old fashioned and my wife being pregnant got a lavender lemonade both fantastic food was amazing and came after about only 15 mins which was impressive for how many people were there. Talked to the bartender for a while and she had made a brandy Alexander for another customer and had some left over so she gave me the rest free of charge and I have to say that was the best damn brandy Alexander I have had in my life this place knows what they are doing and it really shows through in every way

Great salad bar - could make a meal of just that. Went 2 nights in a row. Had the perch broiled - not good, too mushy and no flavor. Should have had it fried. Next night, had the pan fried panko walleye and it was delicious, as was the hash brown side, so crispy. Nice atmosphere, great service, just avoid the broiled fish.

What a lovely location. The lake views are amazing so try to get there during the day. It reminds me of a small Ishnala with the access to the lake and chairs to sit outside if there is a wait for a table.

We were lucky enough to be seated in the bar and had a lovely meal. My husband loved the smoked/broasted chicken and the fancy duchess potatoes. I had the fondue appetizer and it was a tad stronger of a cheese blend than I prefer but it was still very good.

The salad bar was small, but these days we're lucky to find any salad bar! They had two soups and cheese and crackers which is always a bonus.

Our waitress was excellent and took very good care of us. We're grateful for the hostess who did grant us a table without a reservation. I'd totally stop in again when passing through the area.

My husband and I visited here on Friday night without a reservation and ate outside on the patio as it was a beautiful evening and the scenery was was enjoyable.
