Small dive place, nice staff. The cheese curds are amazing, huge, good batter. Unfortunately we ordered Cajun style, too salty and gross. Order plain they are good as-is. The smoked wings were okay, had a dry rub, again a little over powering with the salt. The BBQ fries were good but the pulled pork was a little muddy, brisket would have been better. The fries were crispy and perfect! Coleslaw totally unnecessary.
The sauces,,, hard time finding one we liked. A Texas style, kind of peppery/spicy and sweet is desperately needed.

Hole in the wall bbq joint that offers daily specials such as bbq meatloaf. I had rib/brisket combo with smoked mac n cheese. The ribs were not my favorite. Very little smoke flavor and rub. They were dried out and the skin was not removed from the rib side. I added the blueberry bbq sauce to moisten and flavor them, that sauce is 5 stars. If you like hot try the hellfire but have a glass of water handy. The cornbread hush puppies were sweet, hot and moist. The mac n cheese was smothered in cheese sauce and pulled pork. Overall good hole in the wall bbq smokehouse.

Brisket tasted like roast beef rather than smoked. The smoked chicken wings were good. At 16 dollars for a 1/2 pound brisket dinner it should have some smoke flavor..friendly staff, nice dining room. Sauces were not good. I know the owner reads these reviews..you should go to Smokey Jon's and try the brisket there, that's how its supposed to be done. Heck try everything there. Me, I will never come back, you'll have to do a lot better

Very disappointing. The brisket was like school lunch roast beef swimming in a greasy gravy. The chicken tenders tasted like freezer. The burger was soggy and over-sauced. The only thing we liked was the coleslaw, and that was also overdressed.

Just Meh. We've been there 4 times. The service has been really good each time.

When they first opened, the portions were good and the food was good. But the last two times we have gone, the prices are high and the portions are small and we haven't been impressed. It was over $20/person for us, without any beverages. I had some burnt ends (10 dice-sized pieces) for $10 with a side of mac and cheese for an extra $3. My boyfriend had a half-inch thick piece of prime rib, for $20.

The cheese curds are amazing though, and those are the only thing we would go back for.

This place is the real deal. Amazing quality meats, full of flavor and oh so smokey! The owner is passionate about his food, and it shows! I recommend this place to everyone, and the prices are good $7-$10 for a great meal. This was an unexpected, and awesome treat! It doesn't look like much when you first drive up (of course it is wintertime), but, from the smells as you walk in the door, until you walk out very happy with a full belly, it's a great experience. I totally enjoyed the ribs and 1/4 chicken combo and my wife equally enjoyed her pork loin sandwich. The hush puppies were probably the best I've had, the cole slaw was excellent, as were the fries! The meat is all cooked and presented with a homemade dry rub and then you can add your choice of homemade bbq sauces if you want. We particularly enjoyed the Chipotle BBQ sauce and I was disappointed that they were out of stock and that we couldn't take any home. Certainly among the best BBQ that I've ever enjoyed. Two thumbs up!!!

We had heard mixed reviews from others, but when we finally got around to trying, we were very impressed with the food quality. Seating is somewhat limited, but the sauces and food selection are very impressive. Will definitely be back.

We tried the prime rib on Saturday, it was excellent. Nice smokey flavor, but not overpowering. It was a perfect medium rare. Comes with sides too, highly recommend.

Wood's BBQ made a kick-ass first impression on my first visit. I picked up a carryout order of the Honey BBQ chicken and even after the 20 minute journey home, it truly was a stellar meal. The meat was superb - succulent, perfectly season and bursting with flavor. I loved the interplay between the sweetness of the sauce and the salt in the chicken. The fries were typical freezer to fryer fare, but they were saved by the flavor from honey sauce that pooled in the bottom of the carryout container. The crunchy, homemade cabbage slaw also was a hit.

The person who took my order did a fantastic job of explaining the specials (he sold my on the honey BBQ dinner). My food was ready to go in less than five minutes. During the short wait, the interior of the restaurant appears clean and well-maintained. I definitely plan to return to try the other items on the menu.

Loved it! It is one of those low-key “hole in the wall” local gems - my favorite kind of restaurant.

I went for lunch and got the BBQ meatloaf (Wednesday special) and a side order of the BBQ seasoned French fries. Both tasted great, especially the sauce on meatloaf.

Nothing is fancy - classic rock plays in the background and you can hear the staff chatting in the background. But that contributes to the charm and local vibe.

The price was more than reasonable, too. All in all, there’s no excuse to pass this place up if you’re looking for a quick bite :).
