Had a horrible dinner!! Came with a party of 11 with reservations at 7pm. Service was great. Food was aweful..
Salad bar was a joke, most everything was empty.. The cottage cheese was like ricotta, yuck, Dry.. Couldn't even see what was in the back row of containers. Becuse they were almost empty.The cheese cauliflower soup tasted like chicken broth. And was pretty much empty. Never saw them put out another batch.
The steaks were horrible! None were cooked to order, all well done and DRY! I mean you cut them and there was not even a tiny bit of juice flowing on " supposed" med rare steak...
The mashed potatoes in there little bowls were lumpy and cold.
Three orders of deep fat fried shrimp.That had sooo much greens under them it was sickening. What a waste of food..Tasted like they were dipped in Salt then batter and cooked, forever. One shrimp I couldn't even eat, it was nothing but salt. The worst shrimp I have ever had.. I have never heard of dipping shrimp in Salt before cooking. I've eaten all over the country and never been served shrimp this way...
Two in my party have been cooks at restaurant's.
One ordered a burger. The bottom bun was so soggy it couldn't even be eaten.
The only good things that were served was the french fries and chicken tenders.
We would have been better off going to Dennys in Tomah!!!

Wonderful local supper club; staff is friendly and the drinks are great. The food is always good; our personal fave is the batter fried walleye, but their pizza is fabulous too. They also do Friday and Saturday night buffets, which have lots of great choices for those who have big appetites.

We saw this place while driving around and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed.

We arrived at about 6pm on a Saturday night (no wait). Basically got a table right when we walked in.

The food was good. (Both had prime rib).

The highlight was our waitress was super attentive. It was good old fashion service. There was not a singal employee there with their face buried in a cellphone!

Our drinks were kept full, and empty dishes were promptly removed from our table. The waitress we had, had a very caring and professional attitude.

Also, we didn't feel "rushed" to hurry up, eat, and leave.

Over all, it was a nice relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Our group of 11 came in for dinner and had truly one of the greatest experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. We came out to eat this evening 3 of us. We were told it would be a 30 to 45 min wait pretty normal for a holiday weekend, We waited about 50 min to be seated. We ordered 1 beer and a Pino grigio with 3 ice waters along with 3 buffets. I went to the salad bar first and as I was making my salad I reached in for some carrots which was towards the bottom of the container and it came out with a gross slime with it needless to say I didn't add carrots to my salad. I continued on to the soup it was empty and by the looks of how dry the container was it had been empty for a while. I even went to the other side of the restaurant to hit that buffet hoping I would get some better food there, well let just say strike 3 the best thing about the experience was the cracker sticks with the cheese spread from the buffet. My husband, my mom , nor myself were impressed with this meal. The worst part was the bill almost 140 bucks for a really bad meal. Safe to say we will not be back and if you read this review before you go, you might not want to go there either.

We went for the Pierogi buffet. All I can say is AWESOME. So many different kinds and don't forget the stuffed cabbage. I love pierogi, grew up in Chicago, and my grandma taught me how to make them at 7. I make them for my family for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. We will be back for this buffet again.

We ate supper here on Saturday June 14, 2025. They only take reservations for groups of 8 or more, so we arrived when they opened at 430p. The dining area didnt open until 5p, so we got our names on the waiting list and sat at the bar for drinks and convers. We didnt have to wailong after 5p and we were seated. The wait staff were friendly and attentive all evening. The menu had alot of options for a variety of tastes. I had the perch witj fries which were very good, my son had the cod with fries which he said were very good, and my husband had the Shrimp Dinner with vegetables, which he said the shrimp was EXCELLENT, but would pick fries next time for his side. My mother-in-law had the catfish which came with a HUGE portion, but she said it was very good. My father had the chicken dinner which also came with a HUGE portion, and he also enjoyed it. They both took most of it home. So some plates are regular sized portions, and some plates came with very large portions, so be prepared for a take home container, lol. We would eat here again, and recommend it.

I dined here for the first time at 5:15pm on a Saturday. Mine was the first vehicle to create a 2nd row; there was a 3rd row by the time I left. The charming restaurant consists of 2 large dining rooms (buffet tables in each), divided by a large waiting area; with a beautiful bar set back a bit (so you don't have to wait in the bar to be seated). I was seated in a booth in the 1st (entrance side) dining room. Avoid table seating in that room, as they got bumped around by guests going to/from the buffet area. The owners should direct the buffet guests away from seated guests better. As for wait times, I didn't have to wait at all, but at 5:30pm there was quite a line (into the restaurant & at the buffet). The service was great from start to finish. I ordered the buffet for $32.95, which featured prime rib, bbq ribs, and fried chicken. I had a little of each. My favorite was the fall off the bone bbq ribs, which were actually quite light on the bbq (exactly how I enjoy them). The fried chicken (not broasted) was hot & moist, with a light breading. I was disappointed with the prime rib, because it was thinly sliced horizontally & vertically (basically 2" Height × 1.5" Width × .25" Thin slices). It reminded me of a holiday ham sliced to feed 50 people. It was nothing like a prime rib steak ordered off the menu. It wasn't even tender, as I had trouble cutting it with the butter knives provided. The side items on the buffet were vibrant and appealing. The homemade rustic bread & fluffy dinner rolls were delicious. My friend enjoyed the thick potato slices; cream of mushroom soup, and immense salad bar. Aside from the prime rib, I enjoyed my meal & time spent at Woodbine Inn Supper Club. I'll return for those ribs, and other menu items.

We did the prime rib buffet this past Saturday and it was horrible. $32.95 for a piece of cold chicken and cold vegetables. Only bones in the ribs dish and old prime rib sitting in already set fat and 'juice'. Salad bar was pretty much empty. We had to ask staff for help with even getting water and no one waited on us after being seated. We had to ask someone to wait on us. We explained to the waitress how disappointing this was and then we overheard her telling other customers that we complained. If you want to offer those kind of prices in Necedah don't offer a buffet if you do not have enough staff to support it. Very sad because this has been our go to when family visit. We were given 10% $3.30 off our bill and the waitress told my husband since he didi not complain he was not getting a discount. I thought she was kidding until we saw the bill.

My wife and I dined at the Woodbine last night. We had a wonderful shrimp appetizer which was perfectly prepared. The drinks hit the spot, when my wife's scallops came she was disappointed, I ate one and confirmed her diagnosis. We spoke to our waitress and she offered to have the owner of the restaurant cook a replacement. While I ate my ribeye which was seasoned nicely and cooked perfectly she had another drink. Our first two experiences here were awesome, however the last 2 times were rough. First bad experience was extremely long wait for the food (over 45 minutes) and food came out cold and undercooked or overcooked. This last time 3 out of the 7 of us received the completely wrong item or missing the items all together. After food being sent back it still came back incorrect. I was looking for a new place to eat, so I looked at places that were opposite of going into the Dells. Your reviews said a lot so I took a chance. I was there tonight (Saturday). Did the Prime rib buffet. The only thing I didn't try was the BBQ ribs (I had made them 2 days ago). The chicken dumpling soup had a seasoning in it that took it from the normal to interesting. The rye bread loaf was very good. I had to tell myself "no" to eating more. Prime rib was tender. Had the carrot cake, very, very moist. I will be back for sure.

Ordered the Steak in a pan and my wife had a Filet. Perfectly cooked as usual. Salad bar and soup also very good. That being said we did have issues with the staff. Bill came for the 2 of us had everything correct but 2 additional orders for prime rib buffet. When the waitress came over after I flagged her down, she immediately said " Did I do it wrong?" as if she knew she had added the 2 buffets. Within 45 seconds we had a correct bill without the 2 additional buffets on it. This seemed suspicious. As a people manager of 30+ years, my wife and I strongly believe this overcharge was intentional. Also time and date on bills were incorrect. We went to Woodbine Inn for probably the 6th time trying it. We decided that we'll each get a meal to share. A 24 oz bone in ribeye and 1# crab legs. We usually like our steaks medium rare but asked for it medium due to it will most likely be MR then. The food came out and it looked AMAZING! And smelled so good!! Andy cuts me off two good pieces and it's RARE. Ask the waitress to please have them throw it back on, no problem. While waiting, we pretty much got full off our salads and crab legs. Steak comes out and it's just charred black. Only one piece that was cut off for me was pretty much it for the steak. All fat 😕 Well to say the least, I don't think we'll be back. The waitress was great though so keep up the great service! At least we left full 🤷‍♀️

We eat here occasionally and have had no problems, but as another reviewer has stated, stay clear on the holidays. Our large party was given a reservation. We were seated on time, offered drinks and placed our orders immediately. Unfortunately, things went south from there. The buffet was fine, but steak was mediocre, and the all you can eat crab took over an hour to receive. The crab was also over cooked or whatever makes it mushy. It was pure chaos! I still give 4 stars because I generally like the place. I would just advise to take the reservations on holidays so not to slight customers or place the crab on the buffet (or both).

Only 2 dessert options were left to pick from. Like I said, its a great place with great food but holidays are a no-go. I felt bad for the overwhelmed staff and I believe they did the best they could to accommodate everybody.

We had a group of 5 that came to celebrate our anniversary. 1st of all it was so cold in the back room we had to keep our coats on.
I was so disappointed with the buffet. The prime rib was cold, the ribs were dry and tough. The potatoes we so hard you could hardly eat them.
We got there around the time they open and would of thought the food would have been fresh. Salad bar was good and the old fashion but for $30.00 per person we will not go back. We stubbled across the Woodbine Inn tonight because our original location had a one hour wait and we were a little hungry. This was the quintessential Wisconsin supper club experience! The atmosphere was great, along with the food and drink. Additionally, the owner is a hoot! She stopped by to chat at one point, and didn't hesitate to help seat people or help in the kitchen if necessary.

We had to wait a few minutes for our table because we arrived before the dinner service was ready. This wasn't a problem, as they have a full bar. My wife said the Old Fashioned (bourbon, sweet) was the best she had ever had! My rye Manhattan was also quite good.

I had the Sunday special which was the pizza bar. It came with fried chicken, fried diced potatoes, and fall-off-the-bone beef BBQ ribs! All of this in addition to the regular salad/soup bar.

My wife had the tenderloin (also comes with the salad bar) and it was done to perfection with wonderful char/grill marks and a medium rare center.

We found this place on a random search while traveling, but will definitely be visiting again!

Server bent over backwards to make our dinner pleasant. Virgin Mary drink was too spicy for me. She brought a half glass of tomato juice with ice. I diluted the drink which worked. I asked for a lemon slice for my fish. She brought 2. And it was busy so she was running, literally, around.

Got home with a takeout 3 piece fish special baked. There was no baked potatoe as ordered but there were 6 dinner rolls!! How do you make a mistake like that? Got the sour cream though. Fish were barely luke warm. Live close by and got there early to pick up. Talked to two hostesses on the phone to place order. The first one put me on hold to check on coleslaw coming with the special. Insisted it was a side salad. That's an extra 2 bucks! A different hostess came back on the line. Had to give her the whole order all over again. It's not that hard Woodbine. A customer shouldn't have to open the carryout containers to make sure you got their order right. Some other order probably didn't get their dinner rolls.

Amazing fish! Got a bucket of fish to go! What???? Yes I said a bucket of fish to go!! It wasn't really a bucket but it was 16 piece! We ate it for 2 days!!!

We dined in on a Friday night just after 6. The Supper Club was nearly full upon arrival. Most in our party had the Seafood Buffet that included fried cod, baked cod, shrimp, fried chicken, au gratin potatoes, green beans and then soup and salad bar. The buffet was kept full, hot and fresh during our entire time there. The salad bar had many house made dressings and fresh salad toppings to choose from. One person in our party had the BBQ Chicken Pizza. All of the food was very good for the price. The staff were friendly and the service from our waitress was fantastic for how busy she was. We took two slices of their peanutbutter dessert home,and it was an incredible addition to our already good meal. I would definitely recommend stopping in at this little hidden gem.

"I took my daughter to the Woodbine for her birthday dinner last night we arrived at five immediately seated ordered whiskey old fashions great , opted for seafood buffet??? Not really a seafood buffet. 3 varieties of fish and small shrimp. Salad bar was fresh, fried cod, perch, and chicken all overdone also shrimp was small but tasty my daughter discerned hers as mushy, waitress who was great asked how it was , I was honest she apologized. Was it worth 19.95 ? In my opinion no . come on I know you guys can do bettter. Definitely wouldn't choose again." JH

It was nice. I used to go as a kid and it pretty much is the same. I loved it then, I love it now. It is a brighter atmosphere now. The food was great and a very good price. I went with two others and they loved out also. My new place to go eat for a nice dinner.
