Went for the first time on a Sunday at 1:30pm not realizing they close at 3pm (wish I had double checked). Felt uncomfortable. Chairs were being put on tables while we were waiting for the food. The Yamma burger was great. The cinnamon French toast wasn't great, needs more topping or should be brought with syrup. Not a great experience, nothing compelling to return. As another reviewer mentioned, plenty of parking.

As a breakfast lover I was very disappointed. Now I can understand some places separate different things but pancakes alone being 17 dollars, no sides at all is very disappointing. The store was pretty but the selection of food was horrendous. I wanted pancakes, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and a slice of bacon. That alone would have costed about 40 dollars. And I'm with 3 other people. This restaurant is pretty for pictures but that's about it. I even got orange juice that could never go wrong with me, until it did. Tasted worse than sunny D.Here......... I know next time that when all other breakfast places is closed and this place isn't it's for a reason and now that I've learned my lesson, please If you want to have time and you want actual good breakfast food just make it at home if it's after 2:00pm. Waste of time, energy and money. OH YES! ALMOST FORGOT! we ordered food and literally seconds later because of the energy we were getting we wanted to leave and still had to pay for food we didn't want at all. So we payed anyway and left, never again. My grandmother would have put down money for the drinks and left, now I see why. Also it's not 10-20 per person it's 20-30 per person if not more.

I’ve had two nice brunches here. Your standard family restaurant but the family is Mexican or Hispanic so you have more delicious options. It’s everything it’s supposed to be and more. Your dish is either exactly what you expect or is elevated a tiny bit with micro greens or a Mexican flare or the like. Very yummy and would go there again!
Service was also friendly, helpful, and kind. Host was cheerful.

Our group of 4 adults and a toddler had breakfast there July 13. The server was slow and had to be reminded to keep water filled.
The omelets were overcooked. We were seated next to a very large group of over 10,very noisy rude patrons.
The bill had had an automatic 20% gratuity charge. It was just 4 of us and a toddler. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Researched the area for a place to eat online as we were from out of town. Yammas was highly rated so the entire family went there on a whim. We have five people in our group and managed to fit us in with very little effort. The food was very good. The staff asked us several times if everything was going okay which I like when eating out. The menu has a variety of things for everyone no matter the time of day. The kids wanted breakfast at six in the afternoon so there were many options. The food arrived quickly and our waitress adequately monitored our drinks during the meal. The prices are within limits of other restaurants. The restaurant was clean and not too busy for the staff to handle. I enjoy going to non-chain family-owned businesses I've never heard of. I would recommend this place. We are glad we went.

I will never return to this restaurant again! I placed a pick up order and it all started from the rudeness of the staff when a fellow employee went in to pick up the order. I ordered 4 of the Caesar salads with the salmon filet. I have ordered these in the past and was highly satisfied with them. This time though they were absolutely AWFUL. The dressing was already placed on the salad which left the lettuce completely wilted. The dressing was so runny and smelled sour, like spoiled milk! I made a courtesy call to the restaurant to let them know about this and spoke to the owner who was nothing but rude and disrespectful! She blamed the transportation for the spilling of the dressing after claiming it was placed on the side. It was ON the lettuce and it shouldn't be so runny that it would spill no matter how it was transported. And the smell of it, YUCK! The rudeness of the owner was completely unacceptable, especially when it was just a courtesy called that was being made. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

I had an amazing experience at Yammas! I started with the Spicy Pineapple Margarita, and wow—absolute perfection. It had the perfect balance of heat and sweetness, and the flavors were so fresh and vibrant. I could’ve sipped on that all night.

But the real showstopper was the Gordita Dinner. I was completely blown away. The dish was flavorful, satisfying, and beautifully presented—easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Every bite felt like a celebration of bold, well-seasoned ingredients.

The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Yammas has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite places to eat!

We recently hosted a March Madness event at Yammas and had an amazing experience! The staff were so kind and the service was amazing. They allowed us to block off the bar area, giving us great access to the TVs and allowing our group to walk around and mingle. The food and drinks were all great and would highly recommend to anyone looking to grab dinner or host a party!

Ordered an original, blended margarita. What was brought back to the table, was a rail glass drink of what looked like, clear lemonade with froth or something that you would put on top of a Coffee drink. I did ask to have the drink returned. They said, 'Their blender was broken or something, so they tried to serve it as close to blended as possible.' Really? Did they think I would not have noticed? Lol

Nevertheless the food portion was nice size, just cold. And again, the staff was pleasant, and empathetic.

Personable, efficient server. My wife had a taco salad 14.00. She said it was the best she had ever eaten. I had a cool, crisp and crunchy "Yemas" salad, 14.00. It had all fresh ingredients and was sumptuous. I also ordered salmon with mine, 6.00. The salmon was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. I was dining here with my children and our server purposely ignored us and when I asked for a drink the waiter seemed confused as to what a Diet Coke was. I was incredibly disappointed at this point but things took a turn for the worse when the manager approached us asking if we were willing to give up our table in exchange for a bar seat which I felt was inappropriate for my children. When I kindly declined the offer the lady seemed visibly frustrated and then seemed to hurry off back to the kitchen. Shortly after that when our food was coming out of the kitchen I saw my youngest sons breakfast being taken to another table and stepped in to try and redirect the server but with the servers at Yemas she was unfazed. My request to give my son his breakfast was fruitless for she ended up taking it back to the kitchen and we didn’t see it until about 20 minutes later when it was visibly disgusting and cold. The experience is one I’m surely going to tell when recommending where to eat next in Elmgrove. It’s quite a shame but none the less a horrible establishment.

We didn't get a waitress ; rather the bartender gave up waiting for tables to open so sat us at hi tops by the bar. So in between bartending and hosting, he handled our order.

My wife had a burrito that she enjoyed, but I specifically ordered a medium-rare burger that arrived well done. As we were seeing a show and the "waiter" over-extended, there was no time to send it back. Being way over cooked it was dry.

I doubt I'll ever come back here.

Update : restaurant replied I had a yemas burger? Nope. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger. They way overcooked it.

On Sunday, October 29th 2023, my husband and I decided to go to Yemas for breakfast, to use a gift card given to us last year for our wedding. Upon arrival, we noticed it was not too busy. Several tables were open. The hostess proceeded to sit us at a table located in a dark corner of the restaurant. We politely asked if we could be seated somewhere else. The hostess said that was the only table we could sit at because the servers were on a "rotation" with certain tables assigned. For people that are not familiar with the restaurant business, this may not make any sense. This is the first time I go to a restaurant where, if we request a different table, and there are tables available, we are told no. It would be understandable if the place was totally packed and the only table available was that one. However, that was not the case. My husband insisted with the hostess. She got someone else to talk to us who I think may have been a manager. This person stated the same thing. Then I noticed there was a group of 4 people getting ready to leave. I asked, "can we have their table? They are leaving and they were served." She sighed, then said that if we wanted that table, we would need to wait for it to be cleaned (we had no problem with that). She also made it very clear that "we will accommodate you this time, but we won't do that again." With that attitude, I don't know that I want to go back, but I digress... they walked away and as we waited, from where we were standing, I could see the woman we just talked to in what I assume is an area near the kitchen, talking to other employees and complaining about what just happened. It was obvious by the gestures and body language. They finally cleared the table and we sat. Our server, Stacy, was very pleasant and food came out fast. It was very good, no complains there. The experience after we were seated was much more pleasant. We are not problematic costumers that throw tantrums. We just want to have a comfortable experience at a place where we are going to spend money for a meal. Our expectation was not unreasonable at all but the way we were treated was not the most professional by a business in "hospitality". The location is convenient as it is close to home; we also do a lot of interacting with Sunset Playhouse across the street as patrons and also work there on occasion, on and off stage. We know the location of this restaurant has gone through several reincarnations, as food businesses don't seem to last long in that space. This one has been there for a while and it would be nice to see them succeed. So an improvement in the way they treat costumers would certainly go a long way.

My first visit and I was quite impressed with the service and the food. I was looking for a Bloody Mary and some breakfast and they did well on both. My Bloody Mary was made with Miss Mary's Bloody Mary mix so it was light and full of bacon that went well with my salmon benedict. The hash browns were nice and crispy which is the way I like them. I sat at the bar and Luiz the bartender went over and above in his service for not just me but for everybody. The atmosphere was not bad but I don't like big open rooms when it comes to eating. Good food, excellent service, friendly staff! The only problem was it was a little hard to find the place as it's tucked back in the middle of some buildings without a clear sign. I'll post some pics of the place from the outside so it's easier to locate.
The chicken and waffles were huge and the chicken was moist. French toast and fruit was good, and the ham and cheese crepe was awesome!

A hidden gem, my wife and I ate brunch here on New Year’s Day, great food and service. The pancakes smelled delicious when they arrived, and the taste matched. I also LOVED the QR code on the bill leading to an Apple Pay option, will definitely return.

My wife, mother-in-law and I visited Yemas yesterday for the first time for breakfast. The atmosphere is very nice, and the manager and wait staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

My family (myself, wife & 3 kids) went here for breakfast on Sunday, 10/02/22 around 9:15A.

We were greeted by the owner, who was just exceptionally friendly and playful with our 2 young daughters. We had a really great conversation about their broasted chicken, which I am eager to try someday.

I ordered the chorizo skillet, my son the gyro skillet and my wife the veggie skillet. Our daughter's split the nutella/banana pancakes.

All of it was really good, the hashbrowns were prefectly crispy and the chorizo was seasoned just right. The coffee was also very good and their prices were fair.

The service was a little slow, and it wasn't all that busy when we were there. However, I am aware of staffing issues at many restaurants these days, so I do not really hold that against them, as there is only so much they can do with minimal staff. But all staff were very friendly and polite.

Had a great time there with friends last Friday. Filumena was an exceptional waitress. Everyone’s food was delicious. The outdoor dining option was a fine idea. Our server I think her name was Kristy was the best. I brought my family and we had a great time. The service was out of this world. 10/10 would recommend. Breakfast Lunch and dinner is always available. It's pretty cheap too. They have a broad spectrum of Alcohol products. There specialty drinks are on point and again fairly cheap. The food itself was on point. I ordered the T-bone steak that was ordered medium and i got it well done. However even a well done steak wasnt dry. This place is a true gem.

This is a hidden gem! The food is delicious with generous portion sizes. The açaí smoothie bowl is incredible. My daughter had the oatmeal and it was wonderful and my husband loved the breakfast croissant sandwich!
