I stopped in today and ordered brisket and rib tips and had the pleasure of speaking with the owner for a little bit. We talked a little bit about his backstory and what brought him to where he is today and I’ve got to say he is a super down to earth guy, it was a pleasure speaking with him and in case anyone was wondering the brisket is phenomenal! I will definitely be back probably more than I should.

Overall bbq ribs do not taste good. Very flat/bland and the meat taste like yesterday’s batch. The sauce doesn’t have any attractive & distinctive kick. Additionally, bbq food especially can not be sold as old batches. Lunch batches Shld NOT be sold for dinner batches even if it was close together. Bbq one batch for lunch and end it. Then get your employees doing a dinner batch…. Get this right and it’ll improve your business.

I was in Port Washington for work and had some down time to catch a bite. Stopped in due to a client's recommendation and I'm awfully glad I did. Just had a simple beef brisket sandwich and fries, which I thought was a touch pricey, until I tasted the food and realized why. Great little touch of the south up here in the north. Awesome cook, too. Asked how my day was and made sure I was enjoying my meal. 10/10 would have again and would adventure their whole menu

What a great little place to find. We stopped here while looking for lighthouses. The food was amazing. I had the brisket while my friends had the ribs and a burger. All were cooked perfectly. The fries were pre-seasoned, so we asked for suggestions on sauces. One of tge workers suggested the "Sweet Caroline", and it did not disappoint. Great experience! Did not even have time to take pictures it was so good!

It was our 1st time eating at Yummy Bones.

We got 2 - 3 meat samplers. One with brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken and the other with brisket, pulled pork, and Rib Tips.

Everything was delicious but the brisket was by far our favorite!!! We kept saying how good it was after each bite. After that was the Rib Tips, they were so tender and meaty!

The sauces were fire! My sister said the spicy was on point and I loved the Honey Cinnamon. The regular sauce was yummy as well.

Such amazing BBQ here! Seriously. We had the 3 meat , pork, ribs and brisket. The pork and brisket were absolutely steaming, but still completely tender. The ribs were smoked perfectly. None of that “fall off the bone” stuff. This food is the real deal. And the sauce! The spicy sauce was absolutely the best. I asked for the recipe, it’s so good. (Nope, they aren’t giving out recipes.)

We’re about 90 minute drive for us. And we will come back to Port Washington just for this BBQ.

Amazing lunch, 1st time both of us here. We ordered and took it home to eat. I had the loaded baked potato, with beef brisket with BBQ sauce, shredded cheese, and sour cream. I kept the beans off of mine. With 2 pieces of cornbread. Loved my lunch it was so yummy and delicious 😋.

I've now eaten Yummy Bones barbecue twice: once, in their Port Washington restaurant, and once through DoorDash. Both times, the food has been exceptional. The smoked wings are so finger-licking flavorful. The loaded baked potato is both massive and delicious, smothered in tender brisket, beans, cheese, and house made sauce. The chili is award-winning for a good reason. The slaw is a fresh foil to the rest of the rich menu. This is a MUST for locals and tourists alike.

The bbq was good. We had pulled.pork sandwiches but the pork was very large chunks and needed sauce as it was a bit dry and bland. The Carolina sauce was fantastic. Fries were good. Hello all. Walked in and it smells nice. Clean tables and nice atmosphere and music.
Ordere one beef brisket sandwich for 13 dollaras by itself! I thought it must be great at this price point. Also purchased macaroni and cheese topped with brisket as a meal. This comes with fries and a drink. The French fries were great!

Meal delivered in a timely matter. Sadly the beef brisket meat in the sandwich was dry. Dry enough I had to drink soda to help chew and swallow it down. As a plus note the bun it was served on was good. The person I was with also stated the beef brisket was dry.

Brisket on our macaroni and cheese was also dry. Macaroni and cheese is, well, try it and come to your own conclusions. To each thier own.

Please do not get me wrong here. I am not saying the beef brisket was beef jerkey in consistency but just not what a person expects for the money paid here imho. The beef brisket did have a nice smokey flavor to be honest.

I believe this establishment can do much better to have a superior product. Maybe we had inferiorly made food when we was there? That is always a possibility.

This was just two people's experience with the food they ordered and experienced in Yummy Bones restaurant that day. I hope others have a better foodie experience at this establishment.

First time ordering here. The ribs were good and had a nice smoked flavor. Their beef brisket was very good however. The Macaroni and cheese was a little dry for my taste. I did not like any of the barbecue sauces at all. So I ended up using my homemade barbecue sauce. None of their sauces just wasn't sweet enough and it was too tangy or an interesting mix of flavors That could just be personal preference. Overall. Decent food would go again and bring my own sauce ha! Edited 3/2 tried it again today. They never seemed to get my order right the brisket was so dry and I wanted wings . Most likely won't go back sad because first impressions I gave them a 4/5

The BBQ was edible. The pulled pork was more chunks than pulled pork. The brisket was dry and lacked flavor. Not the best I've had, but not the worst. The Mac and cheese was good as were the collard greens. The staff was slow to prepare our order and took other orders before preparing our food. We had to ask for BBQ sauce, which the regular sauce was very sweet and tasted like catsup. The portions were small and given the lack of taste, the meal was, overpriced. Worst of all, they serve inferior Pepsi. I won't return.

There were 5 of us and we had more than enough food, tons of leftovers but we wanted to try a variety of things. Top item for us was the ribs, then Q chips, then the pulled pork. Good corn bread but it wasn’t warm and no honey. It’s not your traditional brisket it’s more like thin roast pieces, but flavor was good. Over all we would recommend, the staff was very nice and worked quickly to take care of us!

My first experience at this restaurant was not the best and I can't remember why. We tried it again today and all is well.

We came here looking for burnt ends and they didn't have it. That was the only negative of our visit.

The guy behind the counter was working by himself and he did a great job.

My wife had the baked potato with pulled pork and it was outstanding. I had the baked potato with rib tips. It was delicious, but I would recommend not getting rib tips on the baked potato because of the nature of the meat. Other people were eating various sandwiches and everything looked great.

My husband and I stopped at the Yummy Bones food truck that was at Country in the Burg last night. The line was long but was moving fast. The crew worked really well together and we quickly got our rib tips with corn bread and baked beans. The food was delicious. I was glad there were choices of sauce for the rib tips and the hot really did have a bite while still having a good flavor. Nice size portions and decent prices. My only complaint is that the side of the truck that was facing the crowd was not marked well enough. With the line of people there, all I could see while scanning was a white truck with "scooter " above the door.

The pulled pork is superb. The mac and cheese, hushpuppies, homemade chips and cornbread are all good. There are lots of choices for your bbq sauce and you can try more than one. As far as I know there is no better barbeque for a 30 mile radius. The portions could be a bit larger. The atmosphere is casual and tidy. The owner works by himself for 12 hour days so be realistic about the time it will take to get your order ready.

Incredible. The way this guy does it, the meat is tender, but the outside has a good, brown Maillard crust with just enough char. This guy's dry rub is absolutely on point. I had the ribs and the wings. The wings were so tender, but they had a beautiful crisp outside. Hard to accomplish both consistently. He told me a little bit about how he does it. I have had a lot of barbecue from various places locally and across the south. Yummy Bones is one of my favorite.
Probably my favorite in Wisconsin. I've only been there once. Because of the rub, the smoking process used and how he finishes the meats, this guy has something very special. At least with the things I had, there were clearly no shortcuts taken.

Visiting Port Washington for the day my family and I wanted to support a local business. When ordering our food the person working the register said they were out of some of the condiments needed for our order. It is Father's Day so I understand they may have been busy and ran out. However, when our food arrived there were no condiments included at all. Not even BBQ the sauce on either sandwich. When we asked for the sauce were reminded they were out of bacon and onions then given a strange look. We asked for BBQ sauce a second time and it was reluctantly handed to us. We got the feeling that nobody working really wanted to be there. Long story short, it was a rough first impression so I doubt we will return.

Passing through on the way back home to Indiana... Decided to drive into Port Washington instead of more fast food by the interstate. The food here was excellent with plenty of options to cure that BBQ craving! I went with a smoked sausage sandwich which was simple and delicious!
So pass up the fast food that's $20 for two people... go into Port Washington, stop at Yummy's, and for only $30 for two people, it's money much better spent!

My family and I tried Yummy Bones for the first time yesterday for an early dinner. Walking in, the bench-style tables are covered with picnic style checkered tablecloths. It's comfortable seating inside and there are even high chairs for little kids. The food was excellent! My kids dined on Mac and Cheese, one with chicken. The Q Chips were great! I tried the Loaded Potato and was pleasantly surprised. It was flavorful and hearty. My husband had the Pulled Chicken Sandwich. The hush puppies were pretty good as well. Overall, we will be back! I had the 3 meat sampler with ribs, pulled pork and brisket with sides of mac and cheese & baked beans. The meats were all outstanding and delicious. The mac and cheese was good but just a bit dry. I didn't care for the baked beans but that is a personal thing. I like southern style baked beans and these are a Texas cowboy style. My only suggestion would be serving Texas toast with the dinners as the cornbread is the sweet version, delicious, but I would have liked a good piece of bread.

The sides were okay. The ribs need some work. The brisket had good flavor but should be sliced thicker, rule of thumb! Pencil width is ideal.
So, in wrapping up, in a pinch, ok! But I think this place needs improvement to be considered a go-to bbq destination...

Biking through Port Washington and opted for Yummy Bones. Easy order and counter pickup and sat outside.
My wife and I shared the 2 sliders meal deal with French fries added on. Very tasty with several different sauces to chose from including honey/cinnamon. The homemade chips are some of the best I’ve had. Also ordered 2 Portabello mushrooms for $2 each. I can’t eat them, but my wife and son enjoyed them.

I'm so annoyed. I decided to treat myself to Yummy Bones food truck. I got rib tips, a side of cole slaw and Mac n cheese. The ribs were 75% fat, the sides were tiny. It was $16 and I got asked if I wanted to leave a 15 or 20% tip. I'm still hungry after eating lunch.

If you like bbq with zero flavor.....eat here.
I travel year round and have eaten at literally hundreds of bbq joints and I've NEVER been served brisket in a cup.....SHAVED AND MASSIVELY OVER COOKED.
It was like the meat in a Philly cheese steak sandwich. Just soggy meat they have soaking in a liquid on a steamer.
The ribs weren't terrible but were actually cold in the middle.....not room temp....COLD.
The wings texture was good but absolutely ZERO seasoning of any sort and no salt, pepper or anything else on the table.
I asked if they always served brisket shaved and was told "yes....we do things differently here.....it's so tender because it sits in the juice".

Little tip for you, cowboy.....it's not brisket.....it's shaved beef about 1/8th inch thick.
You can't eat it with a fork......you need a spoon. And make sure you get sauce unless you just like soggy brown roast

If you're expecting southern style, smoked low/slow bbq, don't go. Oven cooked and poorly done at that. Had a two meat dinner- pulled pork and brisket; a half rack rib lunch and a chicken sandwich. Nothing was good or even fair to midling. Won't be back.

TERRIBLE! Their fries and Q pork sandwich were mediocre. Had an aftertaste of cinnamon which I found weird. The BIG ISSUE was their bacon burger, super burnt (pic included), and their Potatoe and vegetable (also pic). The Potatoe and vegetable tastes and looked like it came from the bottom of a stew pot someone forgot about 2 weeks ago. We threw the food away after just a couple bites of everything.

Our catering was amazing! We ordered Yummy Bones for our corporate lunch and it did NOT disappoint. The delivery was on time and the food was amazing. It was such a huge hit at the office. We will definitely be ordering again!

very dissapointed. mac and cheese looked and tasted like it was leftover then microwaved. the pulled pork sandwich had no texture like pulled pork. it was more like mush. they didnt give a discount on the dollar off sanwiches on thursday. they said they give an extra side and for forgetting the discount. then never gave the side. deffinetly wont be going back. sorry guys you lost my business and possibly all the ones i twll about it. not very good..

My first time eating here and I was in love. The prices were fair and the service was great. My family ordered the family meal and it tasted very good. Fries are hot and crunchy meat was tender and flavorful. The individual who was taking orders was very polite and very nice. The facilities were very clean and the place was not crowded. We waited approximately 10 mins for our food. I will definitely visit again when in in town. I was most impressed with the beans and potatoes.

My entire family LOVES this place! They have delicious food, great customer service, and even when they’re short staffed they do their best to get the food to us fast and it’s always fresh. The place is always clean. It’s our favorite place to eat in the area. I recently tried the Mama Louise’s pulled pork bbq Mac n’ cheese and it’s SOOOO Yummy! My daughter is picky with potato salad and she tried it here and LOVED it. Our son has a really picky palate but loves their fries. Our favorite sauce is definitely the spicy one. We have a large family and sometimes have to visit a few different places to satisfy everyone’s craving but with Yummy Bones every one of us always finds something they like. We highly recommend visiting if you’ve never been, you will not be disappointed. It’s definitely an asset to Port Washington!

This is the real deal. Loved the brisket sandwich. Loved the loaded potato even more. I was so surprised and happy when it came out with chilly and cheese on it. The chilly beans have the most wonderful BBQ flavor. We totally enjoyed eating inside and had great service. The pulled pork sandwich was great and I really enjoyed the fresh home made potato chips.

I wanted the pulled pork sandwich,baked beans and the corn bread,but they didn't have any of it except for the pulled pork (no buns). It was a bummer,but I wanted to give something a try. So I ordered just a cup of pulled pork with no buns. It was $9.50 for just only the meat! That's way expensive. I'm more upset about the price then anything. So I won't be ordering from this place again. Its just over priced. The pork was good,but not delicious.

Do not get the Texan Bacon burger. All I wanted/ordered was the burger. It was burnt, and dry. Absolutely no pink inside the patty. Who cooks a burger well done. They also put on bacon bits like you would get on a salad. So when I bite into it, a tone fell out. I also order at 7:13 and got my burger at 7:30. The worst part of this is that it cost 12$. Just for the sandwich. Of course I'm happy to help out small business in a time of need but not for a terrible burger. Tossed it into the trash when I rounded the corner.

We were expecting more. So disappointed in the sampler. We had to pay extra for what was called Brisket(which was just roast beef) even though it was on the sampler menu as a choice. I could not believe how dry every piece of meat was. The cornbread was the high light and I don't like cornbread. 30 plus dollars down the drIn. Good luck

I really like the wings, though the ribs are worth it too. The sauces selection is great. The only down side is when ordering online, frequently neither are available on the menu. I assume they ran out, which is a sign of how good they are, I suppose. I hope it's not a computer glitch. The food is great.
