I’m from Chicago so I know how a good beef taste and I know that every state is not like Chicagos beef but this this nastiest beef I had in my life. I tried them 3 times just to see if it’s a hit of miss and they missed every time. Then they cut their bread in half when they first gave you a whole piece. Thennnn the worst part about it is they give you a PICKLE on the side and the juice that the sandwich is dipped is always taste burnt. Idk. I’ve ordered off DoorDash and walked in before and all experiences was nasty. The best thing I had there was the pizza puff.

Food is decent depending on what you order.The cleanliness is what bothers me Counters sticky,floors dirty and the doors and glass are filthy.That makes you wonder what is like in the back when food is being prepared. So I won't support anymore. Definitely a hood spot.Wait time always told five minutes,but the sign says otherwise.If it's not ready just be accurate with wait times.So yes people will have an attitude if it takes almost 20 minutes and one person working .
Catfish taste n smells fishy if that makes sense.So is it really catfish? They have a lot of business mainly because there isn't many other choices in the area. I say, remember who keeps you in business and treat those better. Sanitize and deep clean.

I had stopped here before this to pick up Doordash orders and get their amazing frozen lemonades (so many good flavors & combos to try) but these reviews had me skeptical to order food myself. I wish I just ignored all y'all negative reviews lmao because this food was delicious and hot and fresh. We got the 3 PC catfish filet dinner & a 12" Philly cheese steak & of course had to get 2 frozen lemonades (red raspberry is a current fave). Service was really friendly asked what sauces we needed everything was done within the time they said online. And the fish was excellent. Super generous portion size, really crispy & breading was lemony & flavorful.

I order from Zaks often, typically purchasing catfish filets; which are always delicious. However, I decided to buy an Italian beef, dipped, with mild peppers and mozzarella cheese. I must say that it was the best Italian beef that I've had in Wisconsin (with the exception of Rosati's). Juicy, delicious and flavorful, would be how I describe my sandwich experience! I ordered the Italian beef, and I wanted it dipped and I wanted nacho cheese on top of it and nacho cheese on my fries. I ordered the meal so it was supposed to come with a soda. They completely forget the cheese on both the sandwich and the fries and forgot my soda. When I called them to let them know the owner said that she never wrote it down and that she was new to the job. So he says I didn't get charged for it but I did get charged for it and he would not offer me a free meal next time or discounted meal or even to bring my cheese they told me they were going to bring me cheese and they never did. So very bad customer service. The delivery driver offered to give me a slice of dessert the next time I order but I don't know if there will be a next time because I was very disappointed in their lack of customer service. He didn't even apologize for messing up my order so bad. Only the delivery driver did.

I used to go to Zack's all the time when they're on Douglas. Love their food today I had it delivered I don't know what they deliver I ordered an original Philly steak and cheese The only thing was is no tomatoes I got no lettuce I don't even think there was green pepper and onion or even mushrooms in it and then she just topped with some shredded mozzarella it wasn't even toasted. Then my fried okra you pay $4.99 for this I got 15 pieces that was it counted them. I even took a picture of the sandwich because I'm still trying to figure out why they didn't put everything on.

Called in an order of wings and an order of chicken gizzards. Got there to pick up at the appropriate time, but food wasn't ready. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. The food was good, but a little pricey. $19.00 for six wings and gizzards. On top of that, they put two slices of white bread under the meat - old restaurant trick that makes it seem like you have more than what's there. That being said, I only subtracted one star because even though the time to serve was subpar, the young woman who took my order was very nice and the food was 😋 delicious! 👍
