Quintessential Wisconsin Bar with a down home feel. It's not fancy but has good features .It has a patio, and upstairs area for bands and the downstairs has a piano. I'm not sure of the bands that play but I have been there while there was sing along piano. It seems to get all age groups.

I would give a zero for service if possible! We ate there at lunch service today and the only person available was not available! We had to go inside to get things we needed, she never check d on us, and one of the times I went in she never acknowledged me and I waited 10 minutes and finally walked away! I was left with nothing to drink as I ate my food-getting extremely thirsty, and we had to get our own drinks! I don’t know if I will ever return! It was my first a most likely last time eating there!

Excellent Bloody Mary, spicy, but not overly spiced. Was told it also has Clamato in it. Not very busy, so was relaxing. Unusual ceiling fans like twin independent fans angled down and to the side.

The manager, Maegan, needs to be appreciated, recognized, compensated, and commended by the owners for being a SUPERIOR leader and employee!! Maegan rectified a negative experience to my satisfaction 100%. She was professional, did her investigating, took her time and did thorough research and follow-up. She provided me with her personal contact and reached out to me on her day off on minimal sleep. She is the epitome of a class act, and the owner's need to be grateful to have her as their staff. I would give 0 stars if i could. My husband and and I stopped in Sunday early evening around 5:30 to have a cocktail while we had a sitter for an hour. 3 young girls working behind the bar and literally in my 5 minutes standing at the half full bar with money in my hand waiting for service, each girl made eye contact with me. They did not make eye contact and come over to provide service in any way, but actually after making eye contact then each girl proceeded to go to the soda gun, pour herself a mellow yellow, and have a drink while still facing us, or turn their back to us and continue talking to each other, or just left the bar completely. I finally got tired of waiting, and left the bar area while my husband continued to wait. 5 MORE minutes passed, with still 3 staff members, and he FINALLY got our drinks.

I watched in our 1 drink time there for about an hour, multiple other people be blatantly ignored while these young staff sat for their hangout and social hour.

worst bar service I've ever seen in my life. I work in the industry, and was shocked on the disregard for serving customers. Won't ever return.

I stopped in late Thursday night for a gig. When I entered near the patio there was a sign reading "Live Music Upstairs". I headed up ... in the elevator right in front of me, rather than the two flights of steps. Which there was a velvet rope across the stairs anyways.... I arrived to an empty... everywhere. So I headed back downstairs... there they are!! I seemed to be the only one there for the gig as the bar was half full of people but they were all hanging out. The acoustics were great. I grabbed a seat right in front, shortly after the bartender came out to me to ask if I needed anything? I did not, but I appreciated him coming out! As the band talked to him throughout the night, turns out he was the owners son. Katelyn was also working the bar, friendly gal. Plenty of tv's throughout. if you're hoping to catch some sports while you hang. The bathrooms are interesting....as they're frosted doors, so you think "so nobody can see in right?" ha. I didn't get there until after 9, which is late for me, so I didn't peruse he drink or food menus....another visit I guess.. The band played right in the front, so there was a big array of windows so you could see the street. As I took pictures.. I'm not sure if it's for looks or you can sit there?! But he front window looks to be a "Sitting(?)" window. There were bench cushions and pillows. would definitely be a fun, cozy seat. As I made my way to the bathroom I had to pass the booths which I noticed all had the much appreciated in the winter, coat hooks on the dividing walls. There is a small parking lot on the south side of the building, right in front of the patio. I was surprised and grateful for the door right there as well, as I assumed I would have to walk around out front. Definitely looking forward to the next FireWater Gospel Choir gig @ Ziggy's...maybe earlier, so I can take advantage of their food and beverage offerings! The stage area was fun with a long frame behind the band that the bottom frame changed color. The bar was fun and lively, covered in Christmas lights! Thanks Ziggy's for showing me what I've been missing by not stopping in all the years I've been next door @ the brewery, looking forward to my next visit, cheers!

came with girlfriends, nobody was around to greet or seat us for a good 5 minutes. then someone eating at the bar asked “can i help you?” we ordered drinks from this person, they couldn’t make a mojito… no mint AND the tap beer was lukewarm… while sitting on either patio, you have to go in if you want any waitstaff service at all even though the worker was just sitting at the bar… crazy food was subpar as well especially for the price.

My husband has been seeing a lot of posts on Facebook about how good the burgers were and so he wanted to go try them. The outside is very unique looking and has a little patio and it also has a rooftop area. So we walked in and it's a very cool looking bar with tons of different liquor bottles on the wall, so there probably isn't any kind of drink that they couldn't make you. The ceilings and lights on them are very neat as well. Sort of an old style vibe. They have a great selection of food on the menu. It was hard to choose which burgers we wanted to try because they all sounded so good. My husband decided on the Forager and I decided on the Hangover. To say that they were delicious would be an understatement! It has been a very long time since I have had a good burger out. I was just saying to my husband that very thing a few days before we went here. The burgers were done perfectly. Done, just the way I like them. The flavor, I just can't even put it into words. They just tasted so good. We told the gal behind the bar how wonderful they were a cutie of times. The seasoned tots and fries were very good as well. The service was very good and the staff was very helpful. The cost for meals and 3 beers was about $50 and the food was well worth that. We also thought it was very reasonable. All I can say is to definitely stop in and check it out. You won't be disappointed. The food was just fantastic! Go, go there now! I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

We went tonight for the first time to hear a band my husband wanted to check out. I looked at the menu on their page and found something I could eat ( being gluten free sometimes menus are limited) but I ordered the trash can Nacho's and omg they were huge. Enough for 2-3 people. Beef chicken or carnitas. I did the chicken. There were so many flavors heaped on top, they were delicious.
My husband had a hot roast beef dip sandwich and he said it had a bite and was awesome.
Live music upstairs at 9pm. Earlier downstairs was a piano player and everyone sang along. Yes they did Billy Joel the piano man lol. It was a fun crowd, fun atmosphere and good food. We'll definitely go again.

I ordered a Spotted Cow, as soon as the gal had time. I get annoyed when the bartender is messing with anything but serving food, booze or money transactions. I have no idea what she was doing to have taken so long to ask for the beer and a menu. I was famished. I ordered from a young man and asked which he recommended, the steak sandwich or burgers, he said burger. I ordered the $17.00 Forager Smash with onion rings. The sauce was funky tasting “mayonnaise truffle” and the burger a little too well done and dried out for my taste. I asked for medium rare and expected a juicy burger. Ya, for $17 bucks I want what I ask for! When I am famished almost anything tastes good, but not this. I am no expert on truffle mayo, so maybe that threw me off. If it was made wrong or spoiled, I wouldn’t know the difference, but I won’t order that again.
One man band was pretty good playing his guitar and singing. If I had money to lose, I may have gambled or bought some pull tabs.
I will go back for a weekend eve with my adult kids, and think they’ll like the vibe. The bar area appears mostly clean, but I didn’t walk around to see everything or use the restroom. There are two levels and I had a view of the St Croix River, the one man band, and everyone coming in and going out. I liked my seat at the bar choice a lot!
The bill came and I added a 23% tip, but only the meal portion appeared to be deducted from my bank account. Not sure what happened there, but will definitely be back and make up for that soon.
I’m gonna try the steak sandwich next time! Sit in the same spot! Appreciate the atmosphere and local hospitality! All good for going in too hungry 4*s all day long and hoping to give them 5* on my next experience 🍽️🍺

Very disappointed in how they treat disabled people. After my spine surgery I don’t walk exactly correct. Ordered water and a drink and was yelled at in-front of everyone that they would not serve me due to “stumbling” when I came in. I am constantly aware of how I walk and I definitely did not stumble but maybe had to side step coming in their entrance and then to be embarrassed in front of my date, the bigger girl bartender is clear on an ego trip and I will not be giving my business to this place anymore. I hope they train their staff better. Completely embarrassing

We had an excellent breakfast with wonderful Bloody Mary's. The service was very friendly and fast. The Bar is the oldest bar in Wisconsin (1866), it has that old kind of feel to it, tin ceilings & walls, lots of wood. High back booths. A piano bar downstairs and live music upstairs. Looking for a place to eat on a very busy Hudson Friday night we found a spot to park and wandered into Ziggy's.
