Our server, Taylor, was so kind and accommodating, checked on us several times. She was super chill when one of our orders had a mistake, got it fixed, and made sure my mom didn’t accidentally get anything on her plate that she was allergic too. She was always on the move and ready with a refill even though it was super busy and we could see she was being pulled in thirty directions at one time. Would come back just for how kind and welcoming she was. I love it when people take care of my mom, cause she’s allergic to a lot and eating out can be frustrating. Thank you so much!

Zisters was my brother’s favorite spot before he passed, so I went there recently for my birthday—and it was the perfect choice.

I had the breakfast burger with sunny side up eggs and a beef patty mixed with chorizo. It was so good I finished the whole thing, plus the hashbrowns and two mimosas—no regrets!

Shoutout to my server Donna—she was super attentive and kind, and I really appreciated her.

07/28/25, I want to start off saying that the waitress who served us (samantha) was amazing great service, however shortly after we got our food another lady (Ana) who works there wearing a blue dress so I’m not sure what was her role there approached and was very rude to us for having our dogs in the back of our pick up truck in a ventilated crate saying it was too hot for them out side. keep in mind this was at 8:30 AM with a cloudy sky and nice breeze(it wasn’t even 80 degrees) , we even parked under a tree to secure extra shade. she even asked if we would leave our toddler out there I mean who says that it’s a baby! Who leaves a child unattended making us sound like bad people infront of others. also the hotel we were staying at was 5 minutes away the dogs got food and water before heading out for our breakfast since we were taking them to the dog park afterwards , so we took the water bowls out so they would have space and not spill it. even after giving her an explanation to something we didn’t have to give to her she continued to be disrespectful/rude raising her voice at us which made it super uncomfortable so we cut breakfast short and asked for the tab. Paying $61.00 for a breakfast we didn’t even get a chance to have or enjoy is really sad, we regrets stepping a foot in that place. Some people just weren’t thought manners

My husband and I tried this on our first “date” since having our baby, this weekend and were so pleased with our visit! Drinks were phenomenal, our server Olivia was amazing, and food was great! First time here and we went on a Thursday. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. As for the food, the flight of eggs benedict although tasted ok, were cold and undercooked. Breakfast potatoes were cold and bland. Chicken and waffles were cold, but the chicken was good. These weren't even luke warm, but cold.

Also, two different times additional plates brought out by two different staff members and both times they were dirty with food, not just specs, but food.

The staff although very friendly, never came back to ask how things were, or we would have mentioned all of this and would have had the food warmed up. It has potential but definitely needs some work to justify the cost, especially on what seemed to be at a slow day/time.

We had a large table and they easily accommodated us! The service was attentive and friendly. The cocktails we had were delicious. Everyone at our table said their food was REALLY good, hot and fresh.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because it was over 80 degrees out and we were all sweating inside because it didn’t seem like they had AC on…staff were also fanning themselves so I know it wasn’t just us!

This was the first time ever going to this restaurant. Was very excited to try it. Before going to the restaurant, I was online looking at the menu over and over trying to decide what to get, I had two things picked out and I asked my waitress about the 2 choices. She Highly recommended the steak and egg bowl with the diced potatoes.
My steak and egg bowl as you can see from the picture was not very appealing. The potatoes were overcooked with no flavor. The steak was blah and no flavor. They don’t know how to cook over easy eggs. They’re $7.00 Bacon was not worth the money, I asked for Extra crispy bacon, One piece was A little crispy, While the other two pieces not at all. Also only one piece of bacon had any seasoning or flavoring on. On top of it, everything was cold, even the coffee. They did nothing to adjust or fix anything, but they did offer to get me some jelly for my cold English muffin. Lol
I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anybody. I know there are people that will disagree with me. But this is my opinion and my feeling on their poor service and cold food.
It’s a cute little place. I will give him that.

I NEVER complain but as an Old Fashioned connoisseur this one was HORRIBLE. When I asked to switch it to the strawberry margarita that my niece was having, I was told the policy which is on the drink menu states "No refunds for returned drinks."
As this is not a normal policy who thinks to look for that.
Spoke to the manager, dismissive, and nonchalant. My niece comes regularly twice a month for business meetings at Zisters. This is going to definitely impact their business.
This is horrible customer service and not standard industry policy.
Would not make this a regular restaurant in my rotation.

I ate here with two other friends on a Sunday morning. I made a reservation a day or two before through OpenTable. It was very easy and we were seated right away. I got an orange juice, another friend got a coffee, and the other got a caramel latte. Each drink was $3-$5 dollars I believe. The server was very nice and attentive. The whole table ended up getting chicken and waffles, they are well worth trying out. I don’t usually get chicken and waffles but, these hit the spot. I wish there was maybe another waffle but the flavor profile makes it worth the price. The dish itself was $16. If you have a lower tolerance to spice I would steer clear of the chicken and waffles, there was a little kick to them. Overall this is one of my new favorite spots!

I had the best experience at Zisters for brunch last weekend. The atmosphere is stylish yet comfortable which makes it the perfect brunch vibes. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was delicious, crispy, flavorful and just the right amount of heat.
The real standout was the espresso martini which is easily the best I have had. Smooth balanced and perfectly crafted by the bartender Taylor. She was not only friendly and welcoming but clearly knows her craft as she made the whole experience even better with her amazing service.

My bf was visiting so decided to take him here. There was a napkin or something similar cooked with his eggs (as pictured). They recooked the meal but by this time, he already lost his appetite due to consuming inedible items. It became a hassle to get the meal taken off the bill - waitress was dismissive and would walk away when we expressed our frustration. The manager wasnt much better as we provided feedback and she just kept saying “Donna has been here for years and is a very respectful person”. In conclusion, we probably wouldn’t come back and I’m not happy with the experience and treatment we received.

We weren't fond of the brisket (a little too tough) or buttery hashbrowns but there are definitely other choices.

The Corned Beef Hash was underwhelming. Although the menu described a generous portion of corned beef in the hashbrowns, the serving size seemed more suited for a toddler, and the hashbrowns were somewhat raw. My family chose Zisters for lunch to celebrate our infant son's baptism. I wish we hadn't. We encountered poor food quality and customer service. What's worse, the manager was petty, childish, and passive-aggressive. To begin, I asked our server if they were able to cook a burger rare. She confidently responded "Yes!" My "rare" burger arrived medium-well with very lackluster toppings. The egg, supposed to be sunny-side up, had no yolk at all and the white was charred. The avocado slices were browning and badly spotted. The bacon was overdone and tough. None of these were a big deal, and I didn't mention them to the server. Out of politeness, I only mentioned the doneness. According to Cambridge, medium-well means "cooked so that it has a small amount of pink in the center." According to Burger Republic, medium-well "has a slight-pink center," while rare has "a cool red center." The burger was obviously very overdone. No problem; these things happen. I showed my burger to our server. She explained that the kitchen staff always cook burgers to specific temperatures. I wasn't standing in the kitchen while it was being cooked, so I can't speak to that. I do know that a) people make mistakes, and b) sometimes thermometers are either misused or inaccurate. Do they honestly think we can't tell? That we just order our preferred doneness without knowing what that means? I would have been okay with a medium-rare, or even a medium, if the beef was higher quality. But it wasn't. In an effort to be accommodating, I suggested that they please simply cook a replacement patty and I would transfer my original toppings over. Industry standard would dictate they remake the entire dish. She seemed somehow irritated, but agreed. When I cut into the new patty, I could tell immediately that it was only cooked for maybe 20 seconds on each side. It was basically raw, other than the thinnest outer layer. They were willing to risk serving a customer a raw beef patty immediately after explaining how they had to cook all of their burgers to specific temperatures (regardless of actual doneness). Something just wasn't adding up. Had they been unable or unwilling to cook a rare burger in the first place, I would have gladly found something else on the menu. There's nothing wrong with that, and it's the reason I asked. This was all taking some time, and my son was getting fussy. We needed to settle up and get going, so I just asked for a to-go box. Once we got the bill, I noticed that our server had charged an extra $6 for the replacement patty. For expediency, I brought this to the manager's attention. The entire principle of that is clearly wrong. After the manager conferred with the server, she said that she charged for the extra patty because I "had eaten the first patty" (I hadn't) and that she also "did not charge for the gluten-free buns" (two of my family members had ordered burgers with gf buns, which are a $1 upcharge). When I explained further what actually happened, she replied (verbatim) "We don't do that." Apparently they don't correct mistakes that they have made, or, without stating so, they expect their customers to pay to have such mistakes corrected. Feigning conciliation, she said she would remove the charge for the patty but insisted that I not take the second patty home. Again, completely missing the point. In the end, I took nothing home anyway. I had only eaten my side salad and a couple small bites of burger toppings. I left the rest. So the manager did remove the $6 charge for the patty, but snuck on two "custom" charges for gluten-free buns at $3 each (not $1) in retaliation. I walked up to the manager once more just to clarify that that's what she had done. She smiled sarcastically and said "Yes, that's right." Zisters demonstrated a deep lack of pride, principle, and integrity. The manager deceptively and willfully manipulated a custom charge to equal the cost of a replacement item. Her behavior was brazenly childish, petty, and misguided. There are so many other restaurants around here that simply do everything better.

I called in a panic at 7am on a Saturday, looking for a place to host 9 people at 9am that day (family came into town unexpectedly). The staff on the phone were lovely and patient while I explained what was going on and while I offered for the family to be split into any open tables, she refused to make us do that! We took a few different cars, so when my vehicle got there (first), they had pushed tables together to make a 9 person spot despite the smaller interior. The rest of the party showed up later than 9, but wait staff was extra accommodating and extremely patient despite the range in arrivals. I cannot stress enough how much of a success this brunch turned into, despite the chaos of the morning and the party not being complete at the time of the reservation. Food was, as always, delicious with something on the menu for everyone's dietary needs, and this continues to be one of my favorites brunch spots :). But the service was outstanding and I wish I could have thanked each and every staff member that worked to make a hectic morning into a peaceful and enjoyable meal <3

I have visited Zisters 3-4 times over the years and up until this most recent visit, had good experiences. One great visit in particular jumps out in my mind when my husband and I visited, sat at the bar and had amazing fun service from the bartender. She had great recommendations, was working super hard during a very busy morning and we overall really enjoyed the experience. Sadly, our visit today led me to leaving this review as I was so unbelievably disappointed that it trumped our prior experiences.

Upon entering for this visit, the host was very friendly, cheerful and immediately seated us. We enjoyed a table by the open air patio/garage doors. The patio is lovely as is the vibe/interior of the space. Upon our server asking our drink order, I had asked if they had both cold brew and nitro as I couldn't remember what I had upon our visit at the bar. Our server said they had both. I ordered the cold brew with a side of vanilla syrup and my husband regular hot coffee. Turns out my cold brew wasn't cold brew but iced pot coffee. Many don't see a difference but as I mainly drink cold brew, it was pretty noticeable as far as flavor. We were also charged the same price and it definitely tasted like chilled pot coffee. Despite adding the syrup and creamer, I wasn't able to finish it. It's also worth noting that upon our bar visit (where I must've had the nitro because it was super tasty), I was given a full container of vanilla syrup (little metal cups that they use to serve the creamer) and upon this visit, it was maybe 1/4-1/3 full. Note to self, get the nitro.

As far as the entrees, I got the same meal I had upon our bar visit (the herbivore bowl) and weirdly this time it was super bland. I added a bunch of salt, stirred it up, had my husband try it, even added sausage to the order this time, etc... but he was in agreement, it was super bland. My husband for the most part enjoyed his omelette but his potatoes were nearing black in color for how cooked they were. I contemplated taking the rest of my meal home and jazzing it up myself but ultimately decided i'd rather share my feedback/ask for the item to be removed from our bill as I barely ate any of it. I've probably only asked for this one other time in my life and I honestly feel bad doing it because the servers always feel bad and obviously everyone wants to enjoy their experience but hey, it happens. I had a few bites of my husband's food and my english muffin and was fine with not eating my meal.

By the time our server came back to check on us, my husband was just about done with his food and when she offered me a box, I was polite, honest and apologetic that I just didn't like it/it was bland and asking if they could remove it from our bill. She apologized, took the plates and walked to the back. She then returned to say that per her manager, they are unable to take it off the bill and did not offer anything (i.e swap for another item, coupon for return visit, anything). At this point, my food was already gone and even though I mentioned that to her (I couldn't even take it home to try and jazz it up myself now), she apologized again and walked away to grab the bill. I was honestly shocked and super disappointed. I rarely if ever am dis-satisfied with a meal and upon experiences at other restaurants, I've even had servers take items off the bill without even asking if they find out you're unhappy (i.e they ask how was it and we say "okay" having enjoyed most of it). Ironically, my husband and I both said that even though we didn't like the "cold brew" either, we felt it would be in bad taste to say something about the coffee as well.

I've worked in the service industry, we've dined at many types of establishments for years and I have never heard of an establishment refusing to remove an item from a bill when a customer has been unhappy. To make an unhappy customer pay and leave without giving them anything is really sad and disappointing. Not only that but then paying $40 plus tip for 2 breakfasts/2 coffees, one of which you didn't eat? It's a real shame.

holy heck. this was our first time here and definitely won't be the last. right away, I was greeted by the ladies at the hostess stand. it's so cute with light up signs and flower wall. got an espresso martini and it was 👌get the bacon!!!

Unacceptable, waited two hours for our food and found out at the end, that they add 3% credit card charge! How ridiculous!! They admitted that most people pay by credit card but don’t bother to divulge that info until you get your final statement. Made excuses for delays and extra charges and didn’t offer so much as an apology. We have given them lots of business in the past. Never again!

if i could give it zero stars i could. we waited for our food for an hour and the waiter didn’t even come to our table once to apologize or ask how we’re doing. we left without our food and with an empty stomach. personally don’t recommend eating here. every single person who came after us got food while we were STILL waiting.

First time I've ever eaten here. I have to say, it was really good food! I had a cheese omelet, hashbrowns & (white) toast. I think my meal was about $12.00 for the food & not including the drink.

I will mention this. I went very casual & most customers that came in were a bit more dressed up. Otherwise, I really enjoy the aviance of the place.

This place is an uptight, disappointment. We stopped in after getting rained out at work. We weren’t the cleanest patrons, but we were respectful. We were treated like we were burdening the staff. The staff wasn’t very busy, but we waited forever to get cold food. Cold food and a cold shoulder along with mediocre food, I will pass and feel like you should as well. Yemas shares the paring lot and it is actually a good restaurant.

Stopped in prior to an appointment at Froedtert. They were open early, Donna greeted us and made sure we were taken care of at all times, awesomeservice! Coffee always, condiments, you name it. Lots of seating whether your solo or a party. Looks like a nice patio to sit outside and garage door too when weather is warmer. Portions were far from skimpy, we couldn't finish our dishes and took a Togo. I had the Carinvore Bowl, so much meat! Thick bacon, ham, sausage! He had the breakfast burger. What a great idea chorizo burger! Definitely would recommend and swing in again if in the area.

In the heart of the little town of Elm Grove, almost missed if you are not looking around is Zisters. Great food in perhaps an unknown location but a favorite for Locals. I had the Vegetable Omelette with cheddar cheese to be safe but after seeing the Florentine I almost regretted my decision. Place has great views and just awesome people and food. Thanks for the great time.

I came here on a Saturday morning with my daughter, we both had the egg sandwich on the Corsiants with billionaire bacon Avacado and zisters sauce. Yum, this sandwich is the best my daughter is addicted. We definitely will be regulars.

Our group 6 had Matt as our server and he was awesome! Very prompt! Super friendly and entertaining which always makes the experience better. Had bottomless mimosas, which is awesome, and Matt kept them coming. Make some time to give this place a try and ask for Matt if you want A+ service.

Best brunch in town! I can’t say enough good things about this place. This restaurant feels like home because of the amazing staff and food. Every staff member has made me feel welcomed as soon as I’ve walked in the door. Alyssa was kind, attentive, and had amazing recommendations; definitely ask for her for your future visits. Katy has always been amazing as well. The chicken & waffles and the chorizo bowl are your top two must tries!!!!!

This place is great. Some of the best prepared breakfast items. They seem fresh and aren't greasy. The biscuits and gravy were good. Biscuits were fresh and the gravy was mild. The only thing is it can get a bit loud in there. Staff kept checking back for coffee constantly which was nice.

We had Chicken and Waffles and the Bennidict Sampler, they have four different Eggs Bennidict. The the sampler let's you choose three. We had Salmon Bennidict, Florentine and Corned Beef. All three were fantastic. The Chicken and Waffles are three large, slightly spicy, chicken tenders and a fresh made waffle with honey butter and warm maple syrup. The food was soo good that while we were eating, we were talking about when we could get back here again! We saw several other entrees come out and were particularly interested in the Open Faced Steak sandwich. It looked amazing! We also had a Grapefruit Mimosa and a Bloody Maria made with 21 Seeds Jalapeno and cucumber tequila. We also had the beignet (fresh donuts) appetizer for dessert they come with chocolate sauce and berry sauce topped with powedered sugar. I would go back just for them. It was a Sunday afternoon and quite busy. Our server didn't miss a beat and never left us needing anything. I don't give five stars very often. This place deserves it. I would recommend Zisters to friends and family. We can't wait to go back. Check for operating hours when planning to visit.

First time I’ve eaten here. Saw a number of folks going in, so I thought I’d give it a try. Wait staff was pleasant and efficient. The rest of the meal was sadly disappointing. I ordered a veggie omelette and coffee. The coffee was tepid for both the first cup and the (hoped for hotter, but decidedly not) refill. The omelette was watery.

I generally don't like to post negative reviews of restaurants but this was a big disappointment for us. Our waiter was either very new or easily distracted. We had to ask for water and coffee more than once. We were served beignets that had a feight hot peppery taste to them. When we reported that to our server he dissappeared to the kitchen and came back with the suggestion that maybe some of the seasoning for their hot chicken had gotten accidentally dropped into the beignet. I think it more likely was cooked in the wrong oil. the server did not ask if he could get a fresh batch for us and we were charged for them. I've never ordered an acai bowl before so maybe what I was served was typical but it seemed awfully skimpy on the fresh fruit to me. We had been given a rave review for this restaurant so we drove quite a ways to get there. It was not worth the drive.
